$$$$$ ON CAMERA $$$$$
November 9th, 2017 1:28 PM
Mason Moore's House, Las Vegas Nevada
Mason Moore sits on a small weight bench, black shorts, a sleeveless Muscle Machine t-shirt, a simple white towel over his left shoulder, his Spotlight title on his right shoulder, and a wide smile on his face.
"Hello ladies and gentleman, mostly ladies."
Mason gives the camera a wink, then grabs a quick sip of water.
"Now, you're probably sitting there thinking that it said this was a new video, but you know you've watched this one before. Well there's a reason why the setting, my attire, and even that little introduction are being reused. Repeated if you will. It's because I seem to be repeating myself over and over and over again, to a brand new opponent. It's not because I love the sound of my own voice either. I do enjoy the sound of it, I mean how could I not. It's like a combination of Morgan Freeman and Barry White with a little Sam Elliott just for the bad ass factor. As incredible as my voice sounds, when I speak there is a reason. It seems I keep having to tell people why I am the Spotlight champion, and why they're not going to take it away from me. Yet, here comes the next would be challenger thinking they're going to do what nobody else has been able to do. So Anton Chase, I won't you to listen very closely. I am to give you a list of every person that has actually been able to defeat me in a one on one match up, without the aid of a weapon, outside interference, a low blow, pulling the tights, putting their feet on the ropes, or tricking the ref into disqualifying me. Are you ready?"
Mason reaches down and grabs a piece of paper off the floor. He looks at it, clears his throat, goes to say something, but then stops and turns the paper towards the camera to show that it only has one word on it.
"NOBODY!"
He balls up the paper and tosses it into a nearby trash can.
"Not one single person has been able to handle me in a straight up one on one match. Two of the five losses I have on my record were tag team matches where I had assholes for tag team partner. You should remember one of them Anton, after all it was you who cost us that match. Two of the other losses were in multi person matches, and the one lone singles loss I have on my record, well Chris Constantine deserves at least twenty five percent of the credit for that one. Of the nine people who can claim they were in a match that I actually lost, five of them have left the company. Seven of them, either are or were champions, and all of them are far better than you Anton. Let's ignore that for now and look at the list of people that I have beaten. Now this one is... I hate to steal a quote from a Tom Cruise movie, but it's appropriate. This list and long and distinguished, much like my Johnson."
Mason gives the camera a wink and smirks as he picks up another piece of paper.
"For fun, we're going to go in reverse order. My most recent singles victory, to my first one ever. Now a few names will be repeated on this list, but that doesn't make it any less impressive. First name on the list... Avery Miles the Third. This is actually one I'm not incredibly proud of. It's a win and I kept the title, but I don't like how I did it. I can say that I was having a tough week and didn't really go in there focused, but I still took the cheap way out. I'll apologize to Avery again here, but it's the last time I'm going to. If he wants to accept, that's fine. if not, well maybe he's not the good guy he likes to claim he is. Still, a win is a win and it's a win over a man who has won titles in multiple companies. Next up, John Blade. Now you can laugh it off, but this man was the original Redemption Wrestling New Generation champion, and nobody can take that away from him. Next on the list, well it's a double. I beat Blair Kivisto in back to back matches. Once to claim the Spotlight championship, well technically Redemption Wrestling Genesis championship at the time. Still, I beat her to win and then again to retain it."
Mason stops for a second and looks at the camera, he waves and mouths the words 'hey Blair' before he blows a kiss.
"So let's go to Mason Moore's victory timeline, BC era. That's before Championship. We've got LAVA, a much hyped competitor that I ran through and sent packing from this company. We have Blair Kivisto again, and people will say it's bullshit to include a disqualification win, but she got herself disqualified in order to not lose that title. Next up, the toughest competitor I have ever faced and this one was less of a win and more of a survival, still I do have that victory over Coda in the record books. Before her, I picked up a win against a former NGW Unified champion and someone who will probably go into the hall of fame, Gavin Grimes. Everyone wrote me off in that match, but I proved each and every one of them wrong. Next name on the list, and this is a good one. Anton Chase. See, I've already beat you before buddy. Next two, Rebel Manson and my first win against John Blade."
Mason balls up that piece of paper and tosses it into the trash, sinking it much like he did the other.
"That's eleven one on one victories, which is one more win than you have, period. Eleven wins, eight people, and half of them aren't even around any more. Me, I'm still here and now I am a dominant champion. Really Anton, what makes you think you can do what has never been done before? What makes you think you can now do, what you failed to do before? I beat you once, and the title wasn't even on the line at that time. Trust me when I tell you that I fight five times as hard now that you are trying to take MY Spotlight title. I am going to do what no one has been able to do before me, not in the old NGW, not in IPW, not in Redemption. I will successfully defend this title six times, seven times, ten times, twenty times, fifty damn times. I will make the Spotlight title mean more than any other championship in this companies history. This title will overshadow the Heavyweight title, the Five Lakes Title, the Yong Lions Title, the Tag Team Titles. People will be demanding opportunities to face me. The fans will be clamoring to see the Spotlight title in the main event spot for all the big shows. I am going to take this title and this company to new heights, rack up more title defenses than any other champion ever, go on the longest title reign ever, and make people forget every other person who ever held any iteration of this title, including you, Anton. I am and always will be THE Spotlight champion."
Mason stands and raises the title high in his right hand as he looks straight ahead with the camera feed slowly fading to black.
