-Love me a good steak. It’s all about the meat. Matters where the cow came from. If it’s open range or locked in a pen for the entire life. If it’s open ranged, means it gets plenty of exercise. More exercise means that the meat gets stronger. More nutrients. Healthier. Not breathing any pollutants. Taken care of. Given good food. Raised up to be something special.
-Until it meets a bullet to a brain so it’s body can feed a fat ass like mine.
-Am I still talking about cows, or am I talking about wrestlers?
-That’s a path for another day I guess. Really need to pay attention to what my new client is saying. This steak is so good though. Nice and simple lay out. Salt. Pepper. And a butter herb. No steak sauce required.
-Taking a bite, I look at my new client and I can tell they’re ready to be in the ring. Not enough experience in a wrestling ring though. I have plans to help ease this person in. You just don’t throw a child out in a body of water and expect it to swim five miles to the shore. You start off small and work your way up. It took Jack years to get where he’s at now. We over prepped him to the point that he wanted to quit because he was tired of doing nothing but training. But it’s better to be prepared for everything than to be prepared for nothing.
-Who’s the new client? Wouldn’t you like to know. Not yet folks. I’m not ready to show them to the world yet. Be patient. You’ll get your desert soon enough.
-Seeing that the NGW camera is behind my client, I inform them that I’ll be in contact with them soon enough. Contracts will be signed, matches will be booked, and money will come flowing into their bank account. I assure them that they are under the watchful eyes of one Chris Constantine.
-Saying farewells to one another, I can’t but be glad about this new client. Friend of a friend you may say. The camera only sees the back of their body so as to not ruin the surprise. As they leave the cameras view, the camera slowly makes its way over to me as I cut another slice of my steak and stuff it in my mouth. Clearing my mouth with some wine, it’s time for a promo. Lights, camera.....action.
Chris Constantine: “F....L.....U.....K.....E. Say it with me once more ladies and gentlemen. Fluke. What happen at St. Louis Missouri earlier this month between my client Jack Tillman and Jew Blazer was nothing more and nothing less than a fluke and Jack proved it at the last show. A fluke that should had never happened in the first place. A once in a million chance that for some reason happened at that very moment and time. But all the wrongs in that first match up were undone because Jack took his career in his own hands, fought his way to the Five Lakes Title, destroyed everyone that got in his way, and raised the Five Lakes Title in the air as he proved once and for all that Jack Tillman is and always will be the better professional wrestler.
And as we all know, who ever the victor is when the battle is over, they are able to rewrite history. So gone is that first singles match between Blazer and Tillman. Gone is that fluky pin. Gone is Blazer. No longer will the joke of a gimmick in Jew Blazer ever hold the Five Lakes Title ever again in his nerdy hands. Blazer reached his peak with the title belt.....his fifteen minutes of fame have gone and went. Now Blazer can go back to what he’s good at.....making kids laugh, selling his corny merchandise, and being a lower mid card wrestler. Hope you had your fun in the sun kid, because now......now you’re just another face in the company.”
-Sticking another piece of a steak in my mouth, I can’t help but talk with my mouth full. Momma Constantine would be rolling in her grave right now if she saw this, but I’m in a talkative mood.
Chris Constantine: “Sorry if I’m gloating a little bit, but the Blazer deserved everything he got on the last show. And hopefully it opens his eyes up a little bit because both times the Blazer and Jack wrestled, Jack dominated him in every way possible. So that being said, maybe......just maybe I’m right about what I’ve been saying about him since we’ve first encountered Blazer. I mean it’s not like I haven’t been in the wrestling industry now for over 30 years. The kid needs muscles. He needs some weight on him. That maybe just training under Johnny Maverick isn’t enough and or Johnny Maverick is just a crappy trainer.
Jack got where he’s at today because this wrestling industry......this is his full time job. He works out every day. Watches film every day. Wrestles all over the world to work on his skills and learn how to defend and counter different wrestling techniques. That’s why he’s a top star in the industry today and getting a tag team title opportunity this weekend at Chicago.....while you Blazer.....no rematch for the Five Lakes Title. No main event spot. Buried in the card facing a nobody by the name of Jonathan Drake. Oh how the mighty have fallen.”
-Placing my silverware on the table, I wipe my hands together a hold them up.
Chris Constantine: “Now, I wash my hands of Jew Blazer. No longer will I have to mention that pathetic mans name ever again because he’s not worth my time. Two men that are worth my time though are Scotty Latimer and Billy Danielson. Two parts of the Midnight Horsemen. Tell you the truth kids I didn’t even know you were with NGW. I know you two mostly from your time in Seattle Pro where you two are big fishes over there. But Seattle.....that’s a small pond compared to the ocean that’s NGW. Better roster of wrestlers. Bigger pay checks. Better staff and equipment.
You two might had been something big over in Seattle Pro.....but this isn’t Seattle Pro. This is NGW and you two are nothing but two small little fish way over their heads. Look at who you’re facing off against! Matthew Shields and Jack Tillman. Shield, greatest NGW Heavy Weight Champion this organization has ever had. Top wrestler if not best the company has. Teaming up with him? Jack Tillman. International Superstar. Former Redemption Genesis Champion and Current Five Lakes Champion. These two men, their winning percentage is the highest in the company. They are aligned up with Coda who is the current Young Lions Champion and Kayla Richards who is the current NGW Champion. The Destroyers rule NGW and there is no one better. All the other stables and tag teams fail to come close to them. That includes the Midnight Horsemen, and after Tillman and Shields win their match against you two, they will go on and defeat the Young Cubs and have the tag team titles around their waste.
Now don’t get me wrong, this isn’t going to be a squash match. You two boys will do your best. You’ll fight. You’ll give it your all. But this isn’t Seattle Pro where you’re facing off against jobbers on a weekly basis at some bingo hall or high school gym. This is the big times boys. You two will face the toughest opponents you’ve ever stepped in the ring with. So please....put up a a fight because when Matthew Shields and Jack Tillman beat your sorry excuse of a Four Horsemen knock off....I want you to go back to your fellow Horsemen and tell them that you got humiliated by the best of the very best of NGW. And if you kids ever want a Destroyers vs. Midnight Horsemen 4 on 4 match.......”
-With a grin on my face, I raise my wine glass.
Chris Constantine: “I can make it happen because I am the top manager in NGW today.”
-And with that, the scene ends as I sip on my wine.
-Until it meets a bullet to a brain so it’s body can feed a fat ass like mine.
