“This has got to be some kind of sick joke right?”
Kayla Richards the NGW Champion stands out in the large backyard of her and Matt Shields home. The sun goes up and over the top of the trees and beats down as Kayla looks up, her eyes covered with black thick rimmed sunglasses.
“Don’t you people see what I’m trying to do here?. What I’m trying to accomplish?. See this championship now has a longer and more prestigious lineage. It not only has the amazing run that my amazing fiance Matthew Shields went on as he crushed everyone’s dreams, it also has all of the former NGW’s reigns there too. Which means as strange as it sounds, I now represent people like Gavin Grimes and his history with this company. Who’d have thunk it right?. But Yujiro and his boring antics almost ruined this title...people stopped caring…”
“No one wanted to see him in the ring, or talk on a microphone. And he was never around social media so he failed at promoting the company or himself or the championship on the most widely used information network ever. I mean hell Jack Tillman doesn’t use social media, in fact I think Jack hates it. But he has someone do it for him and Chris is amazing at what he does.”
“Yujiro almost made what could be a top title in this industry nothing more than a pretty little belt he said he beat Matt for. The title does not make the person. Matt made the original Redemption championship a prize to be lusted after. He made it mean just as much as NGW’s top belt back in the day. Maybe even more. And now, well now it’s my turn to do the same. It’s my turn to elevate this title back to where it needs to be and no matter what a few little sandy vagina’s say I am the woman to do it…”
She turns and pulls the title belt up and onto her shoulder, she wears a black and white Destroyers shirt and black torn jeans with a pair of black boots, her tattoos looking even more colourful under the sun as some light reflects off her lip piercing.
“Two weeks ago on Dissension I got in the ring against Honey. And I know that so many people were expecting me to trash her in the pre match talk and during the match and hell all over twitter. In fact I’m sure some of you are expecting me to do that now. But Honey has syepped in the ring with Coda and myself and proved herself tyo be more than just a pretty little blonde nothing. She can fight. She can “go” as they say. She brought the fight to me and was a bluur at points in the ring. But then it happened…”
“I proved myself to be right….”
“Little miss Honey couldn’t quite pull trigger and get mean enough to end it. To just go that extra mile to put me down. She hit her best move on me and when I was able to kick out she was stunned. She had no idea what to do. So I was able to get up and slam my knee into her pretty little face and end it. Now if she has kicked out of the V-trigger you know what I would have done?. I wouldn’t have looked around stunned, I wouldn’t have gotten lost. I would have hit a second or a third to put her down and that is what I meant by killer instinct….Honey just doesn’t have it...and until she gets one, she will never be in the same league as Matt, Tillman, Coda and Myself…”
“The destroyers are taking over. We have three off the top titles in the business today we are four of the greatest in ring athletes in the world today. We have the first and longest reigning Redemption champion, The Young Lions champion, the five lakes champion and also myself the NGW champion…..and this week I have to lower myself to face that over-rated has been Alex Jones…”
Kayla snarls and shakes her head looking at the NGW title.
“Yes yes we all know Alex and I have history. He and I were in a company together a few years ago. He dated my sister Amber...who didn’t though...and he was married to the woman who is responsible for some of the most horrible moments in my life. And yes, he and I...had a thing. But the thing is about Alex is he has always believed his own hype. He has always “bought in” to the idea who who is and who he’s supposed to be. He came in to NGW with all this hype and build up. And what does he have to show for it?. A silly little tag win Avery Miles carried him to, a cheap DQ over Matthew...and a bunch of losses that showed just how pathetic he is. Sure he’s been the WWH and Honor champion in the last few months but that doesn’t fly here. NGW is the place to be and the company that will take over wrestling...no matter what his beanhead ex wife says….”
“Jealousy is a horrible thing people…”
“I know Alex very well, I’ve seen him do incredible things in that ring. I’ve seen him win world championships, I’ve seen him beat legends.”
“I’ve also seen him choke. I’ve seen him lose all confidence and wither down into a dead flower. Yes Alex Jones has talent, yes Alex Jones can go in that ring. But Alex isn’t a threat. Alex isn’t the man he once was or hell the man he is in other companies. Alex is a flawed, scared little boy forever clinging to the hope that he will go down in history as a legend when his accomplishments mean he’ll be forgotten the moment he retires.”
“Alex I want you to take a good long look at me. I’m not the innocent little girl you knew. I’m not like Amber or Tasmin. I’m a beast in that ring. An uncaring, unfeeling machine who will do what needs to be done to walk out the winner. And in Chicago...I make the black dragon...my bitch…”
