$$$$$ ON CAMERA $$$$$

Mason Moore sits in his home gym, a fifty pound kettle bell in his left hand and a remote in his right. The Spotlight title is slung over his right shoulder as he raises the kettle bell over his left and finishes watching the recent Avery Miles versus Anton Chase match. Mason pauses it and turns around as the final highlight is shown with Avery delivering the AMT. Mason sets the kettle bell down as he looks up at the camera with a bit of a cocky grin.
"That was a nice little win there from Avery Miles the Third. It wasn't nearly as great as my win later in the night though. He got dominated for almost the entire match, while I dominated for the majority of my match, but still it was a nice win for him. It was his third win in a row since coming back to NGW. That is actually a huge thing for him, but we can talk about that later. For now, let's talk about my success. Let's talk about how good I have been on the road to becoming the Spotlight champion. It's something that I think a lot of people don't realize, due to the few times I stumbled. It's something people overlook because there were three times before where I didn't win the title. Thing is, I only lost two of those matches, and one had some very screwy rules that led to me not winning. Now though, I have this, and it's time for another little history lesson."
Mason looks down at the Spotlight title and takes a few seconds to admire his reflection in it.
"So for this history lesson, we're going to talk about Mason Moore and the singles match. Here is a fact that so many people seem to either overlook, or they just ignore it. In one on one matches, only Jack Tillman has been able to actually beat me, and he had his slimy manager to help him. The few other losses that I have, and it is very few, were all in either tag matches or multi person matches. Beating me one on one, straight up, no interference, no weapons, no pulling the tights or using the ropes, is a nearly impossible task. Avery, you don't have what it takes to be the first person to accomplish that. You are not capable of doing the impossible, especially inside of an NGW ring. Look at your track record in this company and Redemption wrestling. You're the guy who wins one and then loses one, wins one and then loses one, wins one and then loses one. The last show, you did win one... so now it's time for you to lose one."
Mason raises his thumb up, and then quickly drops it down while looking at the Spotlight title once again.
"You were right when you said that your record in other places and a couple of wins here, don't mean much to me. Why should they? I'm not in any of those companies. Most of them can't even attract a single Midnight Horsemen. Your accomplishments in other places, are meaningless when we talk about this match and MY title. I am focused on this company and MY title. You have to go around to all these other places and do tournament after tournament, all just to try and prove yourself. Me, I have proven myself show in and show out. It's why I have this"
Mason raises the Spotlight title high as he looks straight ahead.
"And you want it. What I have done here, the almost unparalleled run of singles victories, the power I have shown off, the sheer unequaled athleticism, that is why I am a Midnight Horsemen. You, you're just guy married to our favorite interviewer, even though you don't deserve her. You can gloss over your history of being a complete and total asshole, but I remember that old Avery Miles. I remember how quickly you can change, and how easy it was for you to abandon all those principles you had, and now seem to have remembered. I might not be the nicest guy in the World, but I'm always the same guy. I don't kiss the fans ass to try and get them to cheer for me, and I never will, Those ones who do cheer, who do buy shirts and hats and whatever else, I'm cool with them. Those people that sit there and boo me, then later on try to get a picture, screw them. Inside that ring, I will always be looking out for myself first, and I will do what I gotta do to get the win, bar using weapons like a certain former champion. Well, unless they're legal in the match."
Mason gives a slight shrug of his shoulders, and slightly smirks.
"That's the core difference between me and you Avery. That is the reason why I don't like you, I don't trust you, and I damn sure don't think you deserve Serenity. You are two faced, and it's only a matter of time until you wind up on another losing streak, get frustrated, and end up turning back in to that asshole you used to be. Maybe your loss to me is what will start the second or third or fourth downward spiral for you. If it is, I'll apologize to Serenity. One thing is for certain though. Come Sunday night, I will be holding my title up high after another successful defense, and you will be staring up at the lights trying to figure out how you're going to rebound from another tough loss."
Mason looks down at the Spotlight title over his shoulder, then slowly shifts it down and wraps it around his waist as he flexes.
"Trust me Avery, you are not ready for this challenge."
Mason keeps his arms flexed as he raises them up over his head, showing off his impressive physique as the scene slowly fades to black.
