It was mid-day as Alechs Aurelio is coming back from lunch. He heads down the back hall of the Moscone Center as he looks up and sees his tag partner for the week.
Alechs: Hey, Drake. You got a minute?
Jonathan Drake was sitting going through his backpack organizing his equipment. He had just finished a live stream but needed a moment to get ready for his next. Hearing his name he looks up.
Jonathan: Oh hey Alechs. Yea sure what do you need?
Alechs walks up to him. He checks the time on his phone as he needed to meet back up with Honey.
Alechs: So you know as much as I do.. this whole forced tag team thing sucks. Listen. I have no issues with you. Honey is my girl. I am sure you know that. Le's just go out there Sunday. Do our thing. And let the card fall or whatever.
Jonathan smiles and chuckles to himself.
Jonatthan: Yea I agree. This is the second time I've been in a forced tag team. It does suck. Don't worry I have your back Sunday. Let's get a win and help ourselves out in the eyes of the brass.
Alechs nods.
Alechs: Let's do what we do and leave it at that. I hate losing but I know that they want to make an example of us too.
Jonathan nods in return
Jonathan: Yea. The thing is the other side has to coexist as much as we do. I have no problem with you but I certainly have a problem with losing and with our opponents. So as far as I'm concerned Sunday your my new best friend.
Jonathan laughs.
Alechs takes a small step back.
Alechs: I am not here to make friends. No offense. But the match. I am there with you.
Alechs holds out his fist for Drake to bump.
Jonathan laughs. As he fist bumps Alexis.
Jonathan: just an expression to show how ready I am to face our opponents is all. I got you though.
Alechs nods.
Alechs: All good man. Enjoy the con. Be ready Sunday.
Jonathan smiles.
Jonathan: Hey before you go. Got an extra minute to live stream for the fans?
Jonathan asks as he pulls out the camera he is using this week.
Alechs: Sure. I am not super hip with all this streaming stuff. What do I gotta go?
Jonathan: Not much. I'll get us started and ask one quick question. "How has the Convention been going?" You answer to the fans and we record live. It's easy peasy. Ready?
Alechs nods.
Alechs: Sure. Ready.
Jonathan holds the camera up centering himself and huts record.
Jonathan: Hey fellow NGW fans. I'm here with Alechs Aurelio fellow NGW superstar. We are just hanging out like you all can here at the Squared Circle Con.
So Alechs..Hows the Con been going for you?
Alechs: It's been great. Got here right away this morning. Check out the sweet ring setup in the middle of the hall. Ate some great snacks that I need to work off. And signed a TON of autographs.
He shakes his hand indicating that it was hurting.
Jonathan: Awesome to hear dude. I know its been a blast so far and it all ends with the highlight of you and me teaming up ON Sunday. Which we will win. *Jonathan laughs*
Jonathan: Any parting words to the fans before you get back to Making us all look bad?
Jonathan smiles.
Alechs smirks.
Alechs: Just remember your dreams can come true. It sound cliched and stupid, but... it happens. It happened for me.
Alechs looks off camera and then back.
Alechs: Thanks, Jon.
Jonathan hits end.
Jonathan: No thank you. This live stream is gold eith the fans. I appreciate it really.
Alechs: See you Sunday, man.
