Alechs Aurelio is just arriving to the Squared Circle Convention at the Moscone Center. He has an early autograph session for the day with the fans. His booth is setup to house both Honey and himself. His time was to start thirty minutes before her, but he arrived even earlier than that. He wanted to get settled, take in the surroundings, and see what the Convention had to offer. It was not limited to just New Generation Wrestling and West Coast Genesis, but other talents around the industry would make an appear more than likely. Alechs heads into the hall before it was open to the public. There was a wrestling ring setup as Alechs decides to check it out. It was much nicer than the one on the Road Shows, but that would make sense. Alechs runs his hand along the canvas as he decides that now might be a good time to grab one of the many cameramen that were around. He waves one down as the video begins.
Alechs: Squared Circle Convention. Yet another amazing idea by Devlin Scott. I get to be up close and personal with fans, which is going to be an amazing thing. We are-
Alechs checks his phone looking to see what time it was. He slid it back into his pocket and looked back up into the camera.
Alechs: Twenty three minutes away from the opening of the convention. I thought it was about time that I try to figure out what the hell I am doing lately. Honey and I beat Rebel Ink at Convergence to walk away NGW Tag Team Champions and she is off fighting The Destroyers as I am thrown into the Young Lions mix. Not only was I apart of a cluster fuck of a match, but I am part of a tag team match where I team up with Jonathan Drake. A man that has stated that he is cool with me. I guess that is good. But as I already have a tag partner, this whole random team shit is not what I am looking for. And I am sure that Drake is not cool with it either. It is obvious people will talk about how can each team work? Will Coda and Josh put the fact aside that he won a match that gave him a leg up above the rest? Or will Drake and I work together, two men with very different goals?
Alechs shakes his head as he walks the ropes, feeling them out to see if this ring could even be used in a real situation. He pulls on them, testing their strength.
Alechs: I am not a greedy man. I have a damn fine girl, and a tag team title. I won't need to take a run for the Young Lions Championship; but if my hand for that is going to be forced, I will follow along with that. Still not happy that this is a tag team matchup though. Nothing against Drake, but I do not trust him. I trust few people in life, and one above the rest is my tag team champion partner.
Alechs looks out and sees a couple of NGW staffers make some final touches as a crowd outside of the doors can be heard. It was nearing time as Alechs needed to hurry up.
Alechs: I am not here to make any sort of predictions. I know that Coda is a stellar champion and a good friend of mine. Josh Kennedy won the five way. I know that this match is going to be whatever it is. Drake and I agreed to just go out there and win. Any sort of personal mentalities out of the way. Just win.
A voice over the hall's PA system states "FIFTEEN MINUTES UNTIL DOORS OPEN".
Alechs: Seems like I don't have that much more time left. So let's go ahead and speed this up. On the other side of the ring are two people in different positions. Josh has been up and down here in NGW. He's faced Jonathan mroe times then they probably would have liked, and this is yet another matchup. He has had success elsewhere I believe, but other than that I don't know much more about him then the face value. But Coda? Someone that I consider a friend. I know that she is deadly inside of the ring. I know that friend or not, she will try to put me down for the count and leave as the winning team. She is ruthless, and calculated. I can see her one day being NGW Champion if The Destroyers don't hold her back. She may not be "normal" to those that do not know her, but Coda is a good person. She is finding her way in this company and she has done a great job of being the Young Lions Champion. She did well two weeks ago against Honey, but we all saw her concerned over her friend. Coda and I helped Honey to the back. That goes to show what sort of person she is. Do not judge her based upon the company that she keeps. Honey, Adrien, and myself all know better. It is a matter of time before she realizes that her family is far from it. They are a cancer. A cancer to this sport, and to her career. As long as Matt or Kayla hold the NGW Championship she will be relegated to a lower belt. She has what it takes. But will she believe that?
Alechs hops down out of the ring and heads for his booth as he gets ready for the first autograph sessions of the day. It was going to be a long, but fun week. He needed some time away from home to enjoy things a bit. A little mid-week vacation back in Cali would do just the trick. The booth was for the Young Cubs with Jazmyn and Adrien situated next booth over. The Guardians, all in one place today.
