NGSE: Requiem [05/23/15]

[The match starts off with Isabella and Rhya facing off. Tiffany and Rebekka lock up as well. Isabella and Rhya end up brawling outside of the match as Rebekka's recent upswing and experience helps to lead her to a pinfall victory via Bekka Fury]

T.J. McDaniels vs Charlie Ngatai

[We open to Requiem as we seen the NGSE logo displayed proudly with the AXS-TV logo in the bottom right corner. The cameras immediate go to Shae already standing in-ring]

Shae: The following contest is your Opening Match and it is a First Blood Match! The winner is the man that makes his opponent bleed first. Both men are already inside of the ring. To my right from Detroit, Michigan.... weighing in at 265 pounds... T.J McDaniels!!!

[The fans cheer for the man that holds amateur wrestling records in this very state]

Shae: And to my left from Manukau, New Zealand weighing in at 315 pounds.... CHARLIE NGATAI!!!

[The fans are a mix of not caring and boos]

DING DING DING

[Both men hold up their fists as they move in on each other]

Jackson: Welcome to Requiem everyone! We jump right into action!

West: This has been a grudge going back and forth, and now Charlie and T.J. get to solve things... no DQs, no countouts, no breaking a hold... the only rules is to make your opponent bleed.

[As they approach each other, T.J. swings first and lands a punch to the torso of Charlie. Charlie counters with a hard hook and connects with T.J.'s eye, and it immediately begins to swell]

West: Wow! It looks like Charlie already got the best of T.J. He is not bleeding, but one eye is swelling up so he will only have vision is one eye!

[T.J. grabs his cheek and eye in pain as he tries to back away, but Charlie won't let him. Charlie lands shots to the abdomen of T.J. over and over again trying to get another open shot at his face, but T.J. just takes the shots. Frustrated at how Charlie keeps coming at him, T.J. reaches out and grabs Charlie, and belly-to-belly suplexes the Kiwi Behemoth!]

Jackson: What a suplex! Charlie is NOT a small man by any feat!

[T.J. leans back in the corner as the ref checks on his eye. Charlie lays on the mat from the hard impact. The ref determines that T.J. is okay as T.J. decides to slide outside of the ring to fetch a steel chair but when he slides back inside of the ring with the chair, Charlie is already waiting. Charlie steps on the fingers of T.J. and grabs the steel chair for himself. Charlie wants to inflict some pain on the Motor City Monster, so he slams the chair into the back of T.J. over and over again]

Jackson: He is going to damage T.J.'s back!

West: This is all allowed!

[As Charlie pulls back one more time to swing, T.J. is able to pull his legs out from under him sending Charlie crashing to the mat and the chair slipping out of his fingers. T.J. finally gets to his feet as he lays the now bent steel chair against the head of Charlie Ngatai, rears back, and stomps down hard as the chair crumples even more and Charlie grabs his face in pain. The ref backs T.J. off to check on him and to check for blood, but there is none yet. The match continues]

West: This is not going to get ANY better anytime soon!

[T.J. slides back outside of the ring to look for more weapons as Charlie tries to get to his feet, but he stumbles a bit as his center of gravity seem to be off. He stumbles towards the ropes and exits the ring on the other side. Meanwhile, T.J. grabs a brand new chair and makes his way around the ring to Charlie. T.J. turns the corner and raises the chair above his head, and as he swings Charlie pulls out a bat from behind him, swings, and connects hitting the steel chair flying back into the head of T.J. McDaniels. T.J. falls backwards and Charlie kicks T.J. backwards towards the barricade. Charlie steps back, lifts his leg, and hits Moko (Big Boot) on T.J., sending him over the barricade into the stands. Charlie looks under the ring, and pulls out a table to set it up]

West: Pure carnage going out at ringside!

[Charlie moves to the barricade and reaches to grab T.J., but T.J. is ready for him and smashes Charlie in the face with the steel chair, sending Charlie stumbling backwards. T.J. hops back over the barricade and grabs Charlie up on his shoulder. T.J. runs and power slams Charlie through the table! as the crowd begins to chant]

T-J... T-J...T-J... T-J...T-J... T-J...T-J... T-J...T-J... T-J...

[The ref moves to check on Charlie, but he appears to be not bleeding yet as the ref allows the match to continue. Charlie tries to pull himself up as T.J. sets up two chairs. Charlie slowly gets to his feet as T.J. turns out, grabs Charlie, and uses a Gutwrench Powerbomb to bomb Charlie onto the steel chairs at ringside. Charlie slams against the cement floor hard and appears to be completely out of it. T.J. smirks as he sees the end is near. T.J. reaches under the ring to pull out one more chair. Charlie reaches up on the barricade and slowly pulls himself to his feet but he is obviously in a daze, and as he turns around T.J. nails him square in the head with the steel chair as blood begins to pour from the forehead of Charlie Ngatai as the ref calls for the bell]

DING DING DING

Shae: Your winner.... T.... J.... McDaniels!!!

West: What a brutal match! 

Jackson: Those two men really took it to the extreme!

West: We will return after this!

[The show goes to commercial]

[The scene opens as Matt Lynch and Ace Skye are already in the ring]

[John William Kingsley slowly, and elegantly passes through the curtain riding upon his steed Rupert Maximilian Hoofsworth, Mr. Cromwell, his butler, leads them at the front. He moves slow and keeps his head held high, his nose turned up at all the Americans that he passes by. Once the three have reached the ring, JWK dismounts from his horse, gives both it and Mr. Cromwell a bow before then handing his cane to his butler. JWK then steps up from the steal steps to the rim of the ring, wipes his boots on the canvas and then enters the ring to end his entrance with a final bow to the audience]

Jackson: This Memorial Day Battle Royale is an important match for these five men... a win here means a Main Event match at our next show in Indiana. In the ring already we have Ace Skye and Matt Lynch, and just entering the ring is John William Kingsley.

['Gasolina' by Daddy begins to play as Fuego runs down the ramp. He slaps a few hands but focuses on entering the ring. Once at the ring, Fuego quickly jumps onto the apron, climbs the ropes, and stands on top of the turnbuckle. He jumps into a 450 and lands on his feet ready for his match]

West: This is The Son Of Fire... our resident Lucha!

[The arena lights dim as 'The Day is My Enemy' by The Prodigy erupts over the PA system. Spotlights fly around the crowd before settling on High Flyer as he walks out from behind the curtain. He stands at the top of the ramp, arms held aloft and flexing the 'guns'. As he walks to the ring he motions to the crowd with waves and thumbs up, ignoring any jeers and negative chants. Upon entering the ring he checks all four top turnbuckles to ensure their 'safety' for any 'potential high risk maneuvers']

[The ref outside of the ring calls for the bell]

DING DING DING!

West: High Flyer is the last entrant in this Battle Royale as the rules are standard issue. Competitors are eliminated by sending them over the top of the ropes with both feet touching the floor below.

[Immediately High Flyer makes his way over to Ace Skye, picks him up in a Gorilla Press, and tosses Ace onto the floor below]

Jackson: Wow... that was... what.... three seconds? And Ace Skye is eliminated!

West: And so are his chances of continuing here in NGSE. It looks like Devlin Scott might be cutting the youngster. But who would blame him?

[High Flyer flexes his "guns" a bit as JWK brawls a bit with Matt Lynch. JWK throws a forearm smash into Matt, and follows it up with an old school Atomic Drop. As Matt feels the pain, be backs up inadvertantly into the ropes and JWK clotheslines Matt over the top of the rope onto the floor below]

Jackson: And that is eliminated number two. We are down to three men in the ring. High Flyer, John William Kingsley, and Fuego.

[As JWK had just finished eliminating Matt Lynch, Fuego looks to take advantage and runs towards JWK. Being the quick witted many, JWK drops to the mat as he pulls down the ropes sending Fuego over the top rope and almost to the floor. Fuego is able to hold onto the ropes, but with a kick to his hands, Fuego is eliminated by JWK leaving him alone in the ring with High Flyer]

West: Wow, and we are down to the final two. I am not sure anyone expected this Battle Royale to be not much of a Battle and to end with two Royals.

Jackson: Two Royals?

West: Both men are from Jolly ole England!

[The much larger High Flyer moves towards JWK. Flyer tries to use his "speed" to capture JWK into the corner, but JWK is able to duck under and slides behind Flyer. JWK tries to take down the larger opponent a bit with a dropkick to the back of his legs. JWK backs up and gets a running start; he runs up the back of Flyer and drops a knee onto the back of Flyer's head]

Jackson: Fast offense from Kingsley... trying to take Flyer out of this match immediately.

[JWK backs up one more time but as he makes his way to Flyer, JWK is met with a paw like hand that slaps JWK backwards. Flyer slowly climbs to his feet and walks over to JWK. Flyer picks up JWK and uses the size advantage to body slam JWK hard to the mat. JWK grabs his back in pain as Flyer continues on the offense with The Lothario Leg Drop]

West: That is High Flyer's patented leg drop!

[Flyer picks up JWK and whips him into the ropes. Kingsley is able to grab onto the ropes to stop his own momentum as High Flyer marches towards him. As Flyer meets JWK, the momentum of the 380 pound man sends both men over the top rope and crashing to the outside]

West: This is going to be it! Who can hang on?

[JWK is able to hold on to the rope as Flyer holds onto JWK; they both fall backwards outside of the ring with Flyer hitting the floor below and pulling JWK down to the floor as well]

DING DING DING!!!

Jackson: Did John William Kingsley win? It looked like High Flyer hit the ground first!

Shae: Your winner of the Memorial Day Battle Royale... JOHN... WILLIAM... KINGSLEY!!!

West: What a much needed win for the British Noblesman!

[The camera fades into a video package for the XX Title Match before heading to commercial]

Shae: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the Five Lakes Championship! Making his way to the ring first, from Beer Bottle Crossing, Idaho weighing in at 202 pounds.... KEG!

[Like a magnet, KEG stumbles over to a fan at ringside and takes the fans beer. KEG downs the beer in one gulp, impressing all who witness it, and then KEG also grabs the fan's hot dog. He chows down on the hot dog as he climbs into the ring. He now walks over to the ring announcer, grabs the microphone and emits a loud belch into the microphone as the fans cheer (except for some of the ladies)]

Shae: And his opponent from Detroit, Michigan weighing in at 217 pounds... the NGSE Five Lakes Champion... JOHN CARTER!!!

[ "Not Afraid" blares on the pa system, and out comes John Carter raising both arms in the air. John points two fingers in the air. He remains this way until he gets in the ring and redoes the pose while standing middle of the ring]

DING! DING! DING

West: This makes for an interesting matchup. Carter beat KEG for the belt, and now KEG returns for his belt and to become the first two-time NGSE champion of any kind.

[The match begins as KEG stumbles forward towards Carter, but Carter opens with chops to the chest of KEG. The final chop sends KEG backwards towards the ropes as Carter whips KEG across to the ropes. KEG hits the ropes and returns to Carter who is waiting for him, but KEG is able to get a hard shoulder block on Carter, sending the champ to the mat. KEG backs up to the corner and climbs up to the second ropes. He slowly moves up and down to get a jumping start, and jumps off of the second ropes to hit Carter with a KEGDROP. KEG goes for the cover]

One!

[Kickout by the Champion]

Jackson: Many people see John Carter as the perennial underdog, but he is the champion right now and has earned the respect of the fans. 

[KEG stands up from the pin attempt and leans over the ropes as he just exerted quite a bit of energy. He looks to the ref and calls for a time out. The ref shakes his head 'no' as KEG rolls outside of the ring]

Jackson: What is he doing?!?! There are no timeouts in professional wrestling. 

[KEG makes his way to some of the fans sitting in their chairs. They all stand and pat KEG on the back as the ref begins the ten count]

[KEG reaches out and a fan hands his a beer]

Two

[He takes a big swig of the beer]

Three

[John Carter is now to his feet and yelling out to KEG to get back inside of the ring]

Four

Five

[KEG takes a big breath and readies himself again for the match now that he has a nice liquid diet again. KEG rolls into the ring and as he begins to get up Carter grabs him by the back of the head and bulldogs him hard to the mat. Carter grabs the arm and locks in a Fujiwara armbar on KEG. KEG begins to yell a bit, and as Carter puts more strain on the arm, KEG tries to wiggle out of the submission]

Jackson: What an armbar John Carter has locked in! Looks to be a Fujiwara! Carter showing some technical prowess.

[With his free hand, KEG is able to extend it out and grabs the ropes to break the hold due to his positioning in the ring. Carter immediately breaks the hold. KEG pops up and leads with a forearm smash to Carter which causes Carter to stumble, followed by a Russian Leg Sweep by the drunken challenger]

West: Nice offense by KEG.

[KEG goes for the cover]

One!

[Breakup by Carter who immediately rolls KEG up for a cover of his own]

One!

Two!

[Kickout by KEG who gets up and backslides Carter into another pin attempt]

One!

Two!

[Hard kickout by Carter followed by a mule kick to KEG. Carter looks to take advantage and uses the ropes to springboard with a hard clothesline to KEG as they both crash hard to the mat. Carter slides over for another pin attempt]

One!

[Kickout by KEG as Carter seems to be visibly angered by the resurgence of KEG. Carter stands to his feet waiting for KEG to get back up to his feet]

West: Is Carter looking to finish this? Is he looking for The Finale?

[As KEG manages to use the ropes to climb to his vertical base, Carter is able to grab him and hoists KEG up on his shoulders looking to finish KEG off. KEG realizes what is happening and knees Carter in the jaw three times before KEG is able to slide down to his feet. Carter holds his jaw as KEG uses the break in action to grab Carter and picks him up to hit him with the KEGSTAND!!!]

Jackson: Brainbuster! Brainbuster!

[KEG goes for the cover]

ONE!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING

Shae: Your winner and NEW NGSE FIVE LAKES CHAMPION.... KEG!!!

[Pretty Good at Drinking Beer by Billy Currington begins to play as the ref hands the Five Lakes title to the new champion. KEG makes his way over to Carter and reaches his hand out, and Carter accept. KEG pulls Carter up to his feet as they shake hands in respect of each other. Carter points to the belt making it known that he will be coming back for it. John Carter exits the ring]

West: What a win by KEG!

[As KEG is celebrating his title win, out comes Charlie Ngatai with his briefcase]

West: Here is the Number One Contender for the Five Lakes Title, Charlie Ngatai. This could get interesting.

[Charlie walks up the ring steps and enters the ring as KEG stares at him Charlie acknowledges him with a raise of the eye brows. He grabs a mic for himself and gesturing to the ringside out comes none other than Dogg holding a small fold up table. While Dogg gets into the ring Charlie climbs out and pulls two chairs from under the ring. KEG is now over by the far turnbuckle looking at Charlie as he gets back into the ring, Dogg has set the table up and the brief case is sitting on top. Charlie sets up the chairs sitting on the one closest to the ramp, and gesturing to keg to sit on the other which he does cautiously. Charlie opens the briefcase and begins to talk]

Charlie: Congrats champ, you won your shot at me come Chicago On Fire. Let's celebrate.

[Charlie looks at Dogg]

Charlie: Get the piss cus.

[Dogg leaves the ring and from underneath pulls out a six pack of Kegs favourite beer, he
returns to the ring where he places the beers onto the table before leaving. Charlie grabs the
bottles of beer and pours them into the briefcase he then pulls out a rubber ducky from his shirt pocket and places it onto the duck pond]

Charlie: Quack quack bro lets drink to a hard fight you and me.

[Charlie gets two glasses out from the briefcases hidden component filling one from the duck
pond for himself and one for KEG.]

Charlie: Congrats champ ka pai bro cheers cus.

[Both men clink glasses and drink down
their beers as we fade to the cameras in the back and shift to the locker room as we see Jamie Jackson, still in his in-ring gear, stuffing his belongings into a duffle bag]

Jamie: I came back as Hayden believed in me... only to be duped by him. I am done with this place. I am marching into Devlin Scott's office and turning my papers in. I don't have to put up with this. I was told things would be different... but here I am being screwed again. And by the one person that I thought I could trust. Goodbye NGSE. Good riddance!

[The scene fades to black and a commercial break begins]
