+++++++ ON CAMERA +++++++
Karston Daire stands in front of a standing heavy bag in the middle of an almost empty gym. He peppers it with a few hard kicks, then delivers a flurry of forearms before finishing with a spinning back fist that sees it tilt up on it's edge just a bit. He takes a few deep breaths, then turns around to the camera. He's dressed very simply in black shorts and a sleeveless grey University of Minnesota ahtletic dept. shirt. He wipes a bit of sweat from his face, and looks straight ahead.
"Victory. It was assured and it was delivered. More than victory was delivered though. Domination was delivered at Convergence. We walked in to what was then Redemption Wrestling, and on our very first night, we showed that we have everything needed to be a dominant tag team. How was our domination rewarded? Was it met with praise? No. Was it met with respect? No. Was our domination met with accolades and tribute? No. Our domination has been met with tribulation. Rather than receiving a title match or even a non title match with the champions, we have been placed against the team we just dominated, in addition to two new teams."
Karston stops for a second, wipes a bit of sweat from his brow and grabs a quick sip of water.
"I don't feel the need to say anything more about John Blade or Alicia Hixx. If you really want to know what I think about them, just go back and watch our match at Convergance. So let's move on to Adrien Cochrane and Jazmyn Rain. Two people who I believe are teaming up for the first time ever. Two people aligned with the current tag team champions. Two people who seem to be far more concerned with The Destroyers, than they are the rest of the roster. They will say they've banded together to fight against some great evil, but I don't see it. I see four people who wanted the attention on themselves, so they went after the most talked about group in this company. Yes Adrien and Jazmyn, I side with The Destroyers in this little war and if the invitation were extended, we would gladly join with them. For now though, we stand on our own, focused on the tag team titles. Myself and Gunnar, we never asked for singles matches in West Coast Genesis."
Karston stops once more, takes a few deep breaths and sits down on the floor, crossing his legs.
"The two of us, we are a team first and foremost. Singles gold was never the true goal, but when it was all that was available in West Coast Genesis, we said that should one win, it was a win for both of us. Now though, there is a tag team division, there are tag team titles, and we are going to prove that we are the best tag team in the World. Adrien, you yourself have already said that we have the most experience of any team in this match. I am glad to see that you acknowledge that fact. Everything else that you said, well in truth I ignored it. Your opinion on Blade and Hixx, irrelevant to myself and Gunnar. Your opinion on Avery Miles and Alex Jones, irrelevant to myself and Gunnar. When you addressed us, you showed respect for our talent and experience, and for that I am grateful. It won't stop me from smashing all your teeth in, but at least I know that I walk in to this match with someone who knows just how dangerous we are as a unit. Your partner has yet to speak, but I feel confident that she will share your appreciation for our teamwork. Now, our other opponents..."
Karston takes another sip of water as he lets his head hang slightly.
"Avery Miles and Alex Jones both acknowledged our experience as a team and the danger we present, but their comments were a bit more backhanded than those of Adrien. Avery's less so than Alex's, but it was still caught. He seem to think that the arena being larger or the crowd being louder, actually seems to matter to us. When we step in that ring, the only people that matter to us, are us and the people we are fighting. The crowd is shut out, the bright lights are ignored, and the focus is on winning. Do not think for one second that we will be thrown off our game by being on the so called grand scale. Your compliment was not nearly as backhanded as your partners though. He had the nerve to ask why we didn't make an impact sooner? We made an impact when the opportunity presented itself, Alex. Should we have invaded the company, tried to attack teams, gotten thrown out of the building, and ruined our chances of securing contracts. We are forceful, but we are not reckless. We took the opportunities presented to us, and made the most of them. Why haven't you made a larger impact Alex? You're this big name star, but you haven't risen to the top. You haven't even sniffed a single title in this company, and you have been here much longer than us."
Karston looks up at the camera with a slight smirk on his face now.
"Believe me Alex, we will make a massive impact at Dissension. We will prove that we are the most cohesive unit, and we will prove that we are the future tag team champions of New Generation Wrestling."
Karston stands up, turns back to the bag and lays in a few more hard strikes as the scene fades out.
