“Well convergence was interesting. I went out there, I did what I said I was going to do and opened up a challenge to anyone in..at the time..Redemption Wrestling. And out came Avery Miles the third. A guy I’m pretty damn familiar with. And despite losing I gotta say Avery and I stole the show. We had fans going insane, we had the wrestling world all nuts on twitter, we got high stars and all that jazz. See those matches are what I live for. The roar of the crowd, the feeling of having two men going toe to toe in the center of the ring and only one coming out the winner….”
Alex scoffs and folds his arms over his chest with a sigh, his long hair tied up and away.
“And it’s funny how wrestling works, cause here we are in a company where the name and landscape has changed. NGW has risen from the ashes, consumed Redemption and is ready to make it’s mark on the wrestling world and retake its position as one of the best companies in the world. And I’m happy to be a part of it, and on the first ever episode of NGW Dissention, I get to team up with Avery against The Guardians, 7Th Circle and Team BAD. Three great teams. Now I’m just going to throw this out there, I’m not a tag team guy. I’ve been in a few, had some short tag title reigns but in the end nothing clicked…”
“But I do have to say at least this time I know if I do my fifty percent, Avery will take care of his side of it. See I have always said I respect Avery Miles. And I have no problem getting in the ring with him and teaming. But you look at this match and we see the guys in the 7th circle. Two large beasts who have the most experience as a team. Hell if you think about it, they’re the only true “tag team” in this match. Avery and I are thrown together, Jazmyn and Adrien are just starting in their group and while Hixx and Blade know each other and have teamed before they’re not really what you’d call a “team”....”
“So, really the 7th circle should be the favourites right?. I mean a team is never just the sum of it’s parts. You need experience, cohesion and understanding. You need to fully trust the other person and while I think all of us can say we trust our team-mates it’s just a different level. But with that being said I have to wonder, why haven’t the 7th circle made a bigger impact?. WCG, Redemption and now NGW. Why haven’t they risen to the top sooner?. Were they waiting for Rebel INK to go their separate ways before making a play for the NGW tag team titles?.”
“Now the young cubs sit on the NGW tag team throne and the 7th circle are fighting for relevancy in NGW. Much like John Blade and Alicia Hixx. You know there’s a lot of parallels between you two, I told John last time he and I stepped in the ring in Honor that I admired his heart. And honestly that hasn’t changed and it goes for both of you. So many people look at you both and do nothing but bring you down and talk shit. Week after week, month after month. Even some people on the NGW roster including guys yet to come in like Travis Blake have done nothing but laugh at you both and ridicule you. But what do you do?...”
Alex slowly smiles and nods his head bringing his hands up in a pyramid shape to his lips.
“Do you listen to them and run away?. Do you let it get to you and walk away?. No, Alicia Hixx and John FUCKING Blade don’t do that. You both take your beating, drag yourself up from the dirt and you never complain.That is what heart is, that is what being a real professional wrestler is all about. Being fighters. And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’ll be an honor sharing a ring with you both….”
“Just like it will be with Jazmyn and Adrien. I’ve never made it a secret the respect I hold for Adrien Cochrane. The guy is a leader of men and right now he’s showing it. See he like myself looks at the “Destroyers” as a stain on NGW. a skidmark on the underwear of the wrestling world. Adrien stands up and has recruited like minded individuals, including Jazmyn who I have to say has been damn impressive since coming to NGW. This match is going to be tough, eight competitors scrapping and clawing for their team.”
“Now before I said that the sum of a teams parts doesn’t tell the whole story. But it does tell some of it. You look at me and Avery. You look at a guy who has been successful and put on amazing shows everywhere he’s been. You look at me...an eight time world champion, a guy who has beaten some of the best this business has to offer. We are a scary team and even though we have no idea if we’ll gel well and there’s alot of people out there questioning if AM3 and I can co-exist the truth is I know one thing about him that means trust…”
“He’s a competitor...he loves to win…”
“He’s not going to throw away a chance at winning a match for something petty and the truth is he and I don’t have a “problem” the rivalry we have isn’t built on hatred or immaturity it’s build on a need to see who is better between us. Who when push comes to shove is the better wrestler….”
“That’s why I know I can trust Avery, that’s why I know he and I are going to do grat in this match. The will and need to win and be the best is something he and I share...so the first episode of Dissension in the NEW IMPROVED NGW is going to be great…..”
