We open to an aerial view of the Midnight Steel Headquarters, in lovely San Francisco. The camera begins to zoom down towards the building, as it goes through the front doors, down the halls, and the stops at two solid oak doors with giant gold handles, one for each door. The door opens to the Midnight Horsemen gallery. Much like their dedicated locker rooms, this too has the photos of all of the horsemen, past and present, and every title won by those in the name of Midnight Steel and The Midnight Horsemen alike. The addition of the NGW Spotlight Championship makes the room even more overwhelming than before.
We zoom out of the titles, as our very own Billy Danielson walks to center stage. He smirks, as he begins to speak.
“Oh, young love. Isn’t it sweet? Especially in this industry, love is so hard to come by. The constant traveling, the never-ending responsibilities. Life can get hard for a young couple just starting out, even if it is in the same company. Which is why I find it commendable for Tasmin and Jason to team up, and put their young love on the line, and prove that… well… if they are going to lose, they’re going to do it together… as a couple.”
He scoffs for a moment before continuing his thought.
“They are going to lose though, don’t let that thought fade. Hey are going to lose to Melina and I, because the only thing stronger than Love, is power, and boy is there a lot of power in the name of THE GREATEST wrestling stable of all time, The Midnight Horsemen. Even for Horsemen constituents like Melina, who is more of a quasi-member of this elite team, than just a supporter.
Melina and I have had intertwining paths since day one. Whether it was our mutual relationships with the Rose family, to the role her cousin plays as the mouthpiece of the Midnight Horsemen, and so much more. It is almost like we’ve known each other for years now, and if that doesn’t scream chemistry, then I don’t know what will.”
He looks out to the distant for a moment, but continues to speak.
”The point is, it doesn’t really matter what Tasmin and Jason think they are going to us. They can talk about their bond, like some cliched, love sick puppies, or they can just say Melina and I need to be taught some form of respect. Let them say whatever they want, but let me remind you of what happened to the last guy that wanted to teach me respect-”
A small cut happens, as a clip of Billy Danielson hitting the GCB on Donovan Basch, and pinning him 1...2...3.
Cut back to Billy
“Or wanted to cut their teeth on Melina-”
Another cut, this time to Melina holding CJ Lorson in position for Feel The Pain, as she spins around, and brings him down. She pins 1...2...3 again
We cut back to Billy one last time.
“If the # contender to the main title of WCG, and Jack Santore’s charity case couldn’t stop us, ON OUR OWN, what makes Rodeo and Juliet think they can do it together?
Trick Question
They don’t.”
He smirks one last time before signing off.
“So go ahead and say your piece Tasmin and Jason, but come Unscripted, you will find out that the power of love isn’t nearly as strong as The Midnight Horsemen.”
The scene fades to black as the scene closes.
