The next morning, Honey wakes up from her sleep to find Alechs already awake. He is sitting on the front porch outside. She heads downstairs and sees the door open, going to check out on him. He hears the door open.
Alechs: Good morning, baby.
Honey: Good morning, Chico.
Honey says stretching to the point she shakes and then yawns.
Honey: Do you want some yummy breakfast?
Alechs: I am not really hungry, but thank you.
Honey notices that something is off.
Honey: But you always like my pancakes. What's wrong?
Alechs: Nothing.
He was not going to spill his guts. A part of him worried she remembered him waking up in a sweat, and heavy breathing.
Honey: Alechs Aurelio...
Honey says asking for him to be open with her.
Alechs: It's just. I had a terrible nightmare. I woke up. And it. It just scared the shit outta me.
He took a deep breath.
Honey mentally said "Language" to try and curb Alechs but not outloud.
Honey: Is it about a monster or, like, maybe slimey stuff?
He does not even chuckle.
Alechs: No. It is about be screwing stuff up.
He lowers his head.
Honey hugs Alechs from over the back, head on his shoulder, cheek to check.
Honey: You're amazing.
Alechs: Then why am I having dreams about not being good enough. And leaving everyone? Including you?
Honey fell silent for a moment. Dreams were important to her and in her dreams, she tended to always be with Alechs, believing that showed her true want, to be with him. So hearing this made her almost still, and sick.
Honey: Leaving me?
Alechs: Everyone. Just disappearing.
He lowers his head.
Honey: Do you want that? Like, to be alone and stuff?
Honey felt like she may have made it worse by hugging him.
Alechs: No! Never!
He looks up to her as she stands.
Honey: But your dream says, like, you wanted to be alone. I think dreams are, like, hidden messages.
Alechs: I don't think you can take them for facevalue. I think... it is a challenge.
Honey: A challenge?
Alechs: For us to get through it and not give up.
Honey sits down.
Honey: I won't give up on us. Even if the skies get rough.
Honey sings to Alechs in a very sincere and light tone while looking at him.
Alechs smiles.
Alechs: You don't hate me, right?
Honey: I'm giving you all my love, I'm still looking up. I'm still looking up
Honey sings again, looking up to him at his sad eyes full of hope and need and just about nods, thinking she was clear as the sky.
He takes her hand, and puts it to his forehead.
Honey: You're a little warm, Chico.
Alechs: I was sweating.
Honey: I'm going to make you some tea to calm your nerves. Come inside and sit down on the couch.
Honey says trying to drag him up.
Alechs: Singing or tea is not going to help. Talk to me Honey. Like a girlfriend would to her boyfriend. A real. Serious. Conversation.
Honey: I was going to while you had some tea to calm your nerves.
Honey swallows hard, trying to help but she felt attacked for trying to do what she did to anyone who felt down. Tea and talk.
Honey: OK, we can just talk.
Honey says looking at him.
Honey: Why do you feel bad?
He was not trying to attack her, but wanted her to show something more then to just put a bandage on the situation.
Alechs: I just explained. I don't want tea. I would my girlfriend to reassure me.
Honey: I am here for you Alechs. Always. And I am not going to be leaving you at all. You are my, like, guide to a whole new world and I would be very lost without you. I want you by my side and stuff.
That is exactly what he waned to hear.
Alechs: I love you, chica.
Honey: Sunshine. I'm your sunshine and your my Chico. And I love my Chico, like, as big as twenty suns.
Honey says hugging him after a kiss.
