This scene opens up in Jeremy’s high rise looking over the Los Angeles skyline. Jeremy in a casual button up polo and slacks on the phone once again.
”What the hell have you been doing?”
”Obviously what you couldn’t. As I’ve explained already I don’t have any interest in your goals. Mine are the only ones that matter.”
”We backed you in getting your father’s company and keeping the knowledge away from your sister. And maybe you haven’t noticed but she’s starting to come to her senses.”
”Anything Kate does at this point will be moot. She’s quit her wrestling career at least temporarily and even got herself arrested for assaulting her best friend and some medical personnel. I am secure in my position, so you’re part in this is quickly coming to a close.”
”Do not test us boy. You will regret it.”
”I was untouchable before you came into the picture. Your minor contribution to my ascendance will not get you any special treatment around me. You allied with your better. Never forget that.”
Jeremy hangs up the phone but it soon dings with a text message.
He quickly types his reply.
He smiles to himself. ”No matter what happens, you’re never going to know how much this means.”

Does anyone really believe that a single match is going to stop my rise to prominence in Redemption? I am Living Greatness. A couple of insignificant pokes at my pride will not burst my bubble. So discount me at your own risk. Because when you step into the ring with someone who is born better, there is nothing you can honestly do to keep that star from shining.
Let’s take my two opponents coming up at Glory: Mikhail Reinhardt and Daisy Rose, a crazy fool and a crazy lady. If there were fifty of both of them there would not be enough talent in all of them to compare to a wiggle of my little finger. Mikhail thinks he’s some kind of devil. I’ve met real devils called warlords and made them cower in front of me. The only difference between them and you is they had the balls to step up and face reality when it struck them in the face. You are just some insane asylum lunatic, not unlike the road my sister started down before some fool started helping her sanity. I can’t promise to be so miraculous for you Mikhail, but I promise you this: I am gonna beat sense into you. And then I’ll feed your carcass to Cerberus. Chances are of course, you’ll just give him a stomach ache and be left to rot in a puddle of vomit.
And Daisy, I don’t care who your husband is or what your plans are or the fact that you are one half of the tag team champions. Do you know what that tells me: you need a man to be with you in order to get anything done. You call yourself Mrs. Chaos like it’s supposed to be some kind of impressive moniker. BO-RING! Every other wrestler in his business calls themselves Chaos or some derivative of it. You’re not special. You’re barely worth my time and the only thing that’s gonna protect your face from my fist will be my goodwill. Test me though and I’ll beat you so bad your husband will have to put a bag over your face. Hopefully it’ll be plastic.
I may be coming off a loss from my debut, but at Glory everyone will know the name Jeremy Starling. Get used to it.

Hey handsome. How're you today?
He quickly types his reply.
Just fine. You seem to be in a better mood.
He smiles to himself. ”No matter what happens, you’re never going to know how much this means.”
