Good evening. I am so glad you could join me. Tonight we will have story time and I for one am excited to share a little story. Tonight we discuss the little engine who could.
Gabe pauses as he smiles towards the camera.
Before we get into the story I want to share a bit of backstory. I get asked a lot and by a lot I mean a lot. Why did you sign with West Coast Genesis. Why would a world class wrestler sign with a developmental league?
It's a fair question. One I would hope to answer tonight before we talk and have story time. I think my opponent is a perfect example of why I came to WCG. Tasmin I respect that you come from a wrestling family. I dont however respect your wrestling family, except you. You are different then Kayla. Dont get me wrong your sister Kayla has a brutality that has gotten her through and as an opponent one has to respect what she can do.
However as a wrestler from what I can see you are hands down the best talent that your family has ever offered to the business. Its talent like you and others in the WCG lockerroom that I hope to work with and help grow into better wrestlers. See at my heart I am a teacher, a trainer. I even have the gym to prove it.
So why did I join WCG its easy to give back to help train the next generationto come after me. To follow in my footsteps when I am ready to hang it up. Thats why I came to a developmental league to develop talent. Tasmin believe me when I say you have what it takes. You just need to follow your own path and you will be fine.
This week at Hype I wont be going easy, but I know it wont be a cake walk. I hope that I can learn more about myself and pass on a few lessons to help you grow, and if your open to learning it will be a great match. If however you continue to listen to your sister it will be lights out and over way to quickly.
Gabe smiles as he pauses.
Now I promised a story. The little engine that could. Lets see how does it begin. Oh yes with a title win over all of the little engines friends. The little engine smallest of the bunch faces insurmountable odds but through "I think I can" mantras. And she wins beyond all odds.
Next the little engine that could some how defended this championship again and again purely on the "I think I can" mentality. Working and hoping and doing her best and some how against all odds she has remained champion. "I think I can, I think I can" hopeful and wistfully maintaining her reign.
It will soon end. Soon, "I think I can" will be replaced with I tried but couldnt" Its enevitable that when luck runs out all we have left is what we bring to the ring and frankly the little engine that could in the end can't. I will see you soon as I get ready to take my belt soon enough.
