Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place,
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you?
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you're screaming?
No, you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

“HELLLOOOOO WEST COAST GENESIS!!”
The voice everyone hears is not the hesitant, nervous voice of Adam Sanders. Even in his days in previous companies such as #FSociety and Fucking Awesome Wrestling, Sanders rarely spoke in his videos due to his uncomfortablity with public speaking...something the twenty-three-year-old is working on improving. But until he reaches that point, he will be relying on the man who’s energetic and enthusiastic voice greeted the audience instead of the young wrestler’s.
“My name is Eddie Walker, and in the West Coast Genesis world, I’m the manager of Mrs. Melina Wilson Garrison as well as the young man standing behind me.”
Walker, dressed in his usual smile, t-shirt, and cargo shorts, turns to the young man standing behind him. Adam Sanders stands behind Walker, looking as nervous as he always has when he’s been on camera, staring at his feet before looking up when Walker turned to him to introduce him.
“Now, the purpose of this video is not for Mrs. Garrison. She will be taking care of that herself shortly. I’m here to talk to you about Mr. Adam Sanders here. This young man is part of the future of wrestling. He has a bright road up ahead now that he has been refocused with new training, a new company, and a whole new life.”
Sanders nods his head a little bit. A lot has changed in the life of Adam Sanders. The new company was on the surface of what was going on for the Michigan native. But now is not the time to discuss that.
“And while my other client prepares for her fight against C.J. Lorson, this man right here will be taking the ring to take on one Megan Rydell. Now, Miss Rydell has some personal connections to Mr. Sanders here. If you think I’m going to dive into all the tangled webs between Megan and Kenzie and Adam and all of that mess, you’re dead wrong. Because once that bell sounds and these two kids are in the ring, none of that will matter anymore. This is about the capabilities of Megan Rydell and Adam Sanders as competitors and not the relations of how they knew each other prior to West Coast Genesis.”
Sanders definitely looks uncomfortable at the mention of all the Rydells considering recent events. His blue eyes look back at the camera and fakes a smile. He’s dressed in faded blue Detroit Lions t-shirt and jeans. Walker then places his hand on the back of Adam Sanders and pulls him closer to the camera.
“Now, Mr. Sanders here learned from two former multiple time World Heavyweight Champions. One of them is someone that you guys are a bit more familiar with, the man facing Matthew Shields inside a steel cage at Redemption Wrestling’s Convergence. He’s won some mid level championships, but you guys don’t care about that. You care about the fact he is a three time World Heavyweight Champion from Premium Championship Wrestling, EXODUS Pro, and #FSociety Wrestling and FUTURE champion of Redemption Wrestling, Mr. Adrien Cochrane. But that man had to learn from someone as well, right? Well, we got the man that Adrien himself learned from. Some of you younger kids might not know him, so let me make sure you know what this man did before retiring. He is a two-time...that's right, two...winner of the World Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship, as well as runs with the top belts in FFW, DWF, IWF...the Nightbringer Ryan Corey!
“I know, what does this have to do with Adam Sanders here, right? Everyone usually gets trained by someone who has championship resumes, right? Of course. But what I want everyone to know is that Adam Sanders was never given a fair shake in the past few places he’s been in. He’s always been treated like a joke, and that wrongful, unjust, and inequitable treatment ends here in West Coast Genesis. And how do we plan on ending that, you might ask? It’s a fair question. Well, we end that forcefully. We make sure everyone in West Coast Genesis see just what Adam Sanders can do in the ring. We show you all, fan and worker alike, that Adam Sanders is the next big thing in West Coast Genesis and he’s prepared to start from the bottom and make his name known the hard way. That’s how Corey and Cochrane did it. That’s how we’re gonna do it. Want him to open the show against his ex-girlfriend’s sister who mistreated him during the time he was dating said sister? We’re gonna do it. Want him to hang out at the bottom of the rankings posted on your website? Go for it because after we start winning matches, you will think differently of the name Adam Sanders.”
Walker’s voice gets a bit excited while Adam is having a hard time not blushing as Walker sings his praises. Sanders was not as worried about how his ranking was low or that he was in opening matches, honestly, but he knew Eddie had to use something to motivate Adam to bring a bit more fire into the ring. He knew Eddie had to use something to try to stir the pot of how Adam was being underrated by wrestlers, fans, and media. With that, Sanders nods his head with Walker on everything he was saying. And surprisingly enough to everyone involved, Adam Sanders opens his mouth and begins to speak. Even Walker was caught off guard as Adam started talking to the camera.
“I haven’t done anything that warrants being anything other than opening matches and the bottom step on the ladder. I get that. And I’m prepared to go through West Coast Genesis the hard way. It’s going to be a tough road. I know that going into this. But I have to start somewhere. I have to go through a long road full of hardships and painful losses. But the grand goal of becoming a great wrestler isn’t supposed to be easy or else everyone can do it. I’ve watched greatness my entire life from Adrien Cochrane to Fiona Rouke and Heather Halliwell. I’m not just some fan in the stands anymore watching EXODUS Pro shows. This is my time to shine. It’s going to take awhile for that shine to really be noticeable but this match against Megan is the first step. But I know that with hard work and perseverance, I can make this the beginning of something great.”
Eddie Walker smiles as he places his arm around the neck of Adam Sanders and pulls him closer.
“I couldn’t have said it better myself. Look out, West Coast Genesis...no, the world! Adam Sanders has arrived and is here to make one hell of a splash!”
Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more
Before your life is over?
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding
No, you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
