We open to the Midnight Horsemen Locker Room, sponsored by Midnight Steel. We see the life size posters of all of the Horsemen, and the wall of gold. As we scan by the bottles upon bottles of Midnight Steel (it makes men, smell like MEN), and we finally get to Billy Danielson sitting in the Midnight Throne. It’s a large golden throne, fit for a king, which is exactly why Billy Danielson is sitting there. He smirks at the camera, and begins to speak.
"Oh, Donovan, I can tell from all of those muscles, and the word-a-day calendar vocabulary, you really aren’t that smart. For a guy that plays smart for the television, you really don’t quite comprehend how far away from me you are in every single category. However, even though, I’m a relatively vain guy, I always love to teach the less fortunate, and lucky for me, you are the most unfortunate guy in WCG right now. So let me teach you something, Donny.
See, I found it funny that you brought up Gray. I love how you pointed out that a lot of people have beaten him as of late, but let it be known, that I didn’t beat Gray in the ring. I made him forfeit the match, before we even made it to the match. Let that sink in. I made a man, go on a two month break from wrestling, just because I could work a microphone better than he can. If my talent at speakin is so good, that a twenty-year veteran almost retired for good, what do you think a guy like you can do in the ring against me?
See, going into Hype #5, you think that bowing down to a guy like me is ridiculous, and that I’m nothing more than a braggart, but when you get in that ring, and you meet the Chicago Blackout, you are going to wish I had left you with enough strength to bow down to me. I have retired people with careers that would make you blush. I have reached the top of the mountains that you dream of looking at. I am the guy that doesn't have to work hard for anything, because I have literally made my name synonymous with greatness.”
He looks over to his side, where his can of Dr. Pepper is sitting, and takes a sip. He sighs, as he grabs a bottle of Midnight Steel, and puts a few squirts on him. He smirks as he continues.
"Dr. Pepper and Midnight Steel, my two favorite sponsors! What can I say, I’m a sucker for the finer things!"
He takes another sip from the can, and continues.
"Anyways back to what I saying. Haven’t you noticed the power rankings for the West Coast Title? Did you see that after one match, I was already fifth in West Coast title ranking. How long did it take you to make it in the upper echelon of WCG? Six Months? I beat Ryan Keys on a Road Show last week. When was the last time you did that? Never? Tell me, Donny, how is it, that you are going to serve me humble pie at Hype #5, when I’m the one doing everything I said I would do since the moment Devlin Scott really did roll out that red carpet for me?
Tell me, again, how exactly are you going to prove that I am some delusional ingrate with an inflated ego, when I have done nothing but back up what I say, and win titles in every company I have ever been in? You act like I’m on the same level as you, and that I’m like Julianna, where this is my first time holding championship gold, and this is my first outing as a wrestler. Donny, this World Title is the fifth belt I have had around my waist, and Redemption Wrestling as a whole is the fifth company I have wrestled in. None of this is new to me, but for you Donny, this is all new to you, and I don’t think you realize that, just because you can contend for a title, doesn’t mean you can contend with me.
Donovan, it isn’t I who is delusional going into Hype #5, it’s you. Your average intelligence just can’t cope with the fact that you are about to walk into the ring with someone that is literally using the company you have worked so hard to rise up in, as a stepping stool to the main roster, and everything he sees is like a college student walking through an elementary school, and laughing at how simple this all is to him.
So at Hype, I set the record straight. I let the world see how easy it was to replace the people that work hard on this brand, with a wrestler that can literally just get transplanted into the top of the card, and nobody would question it. I prove that Donovan Basch is just another red shirt, and that Billy Danielson is the true Captain of this ship."
He looks at his can, as he picks it up, and swirls the contents around. He takes a drink, and sets it back down. He releases another relaxed sigh, as he finishes his promo.
"And even if Red Shirt Donny does end up beating me, because I do recognize that ‘little miracles’ happen every day, I will let all of WCG know that it won’t stop me. I don’t get set-backs, because like I said, I don’t have to work hard to get where I want. I will not stop until I either have the West Coast Title delivered to me on a silver platter, and use it to sign my main roster contract, or until Devlin Scott gets tired of me destroying his developmental brand. Either way, I am here for a Hostile Takeover of this entire company, and I won’t stop, until I have this entire company screaming my name.
At Hype #5, I make my true debut for West Coast Genesis, and everyone will know that things have begun to get GREAT!"
He smirks as he finishes is Dr. Pepper, and puts on more Midnight Steel. The Camera pans back towards the rest of the Midnight Horsemen locker room. The posters, the titles, and the cologne bottles are all revisited, as the scene fades to black.
