Our scene opens up in a traditional promo station, the WCGenesis banner is hanging against the wall in the background and El Bombardero Azul is standing there with his arms crossed off to the left. Lan, his agent, stands center stage decked out in one of his fabulous suits with a very spiffy bowtie. So spiffy that he feels the need to grab it with both hands and adjust it in front of the camera, a devilish smile on his face. He throws back an arm dramatically to draw attention to the masked man standing beside him.
"I look over the landscape of West Coast Genesis and you know what I see, my friend?"
With a grin and a sly tone he asks his client, who offers an indifferent shrug and quizzical head tilt. The reaction only makes Lan's grin grow larger! He peers all around them as if the entirety of West Coast Genesis lay before him, nodding and planting his hands on his hips. He looks pretty satisfied with whatever he sees.
"Me! Lan!"
Putting his hands up to frame his face he winks at the camera. Azul's brow furrows under his mask, apparently he doesn't quite follow Lan.
"Lan Managerial Services is growing by the day! I have my OG boy here, Blue! And, just in this promotion alone I am representing the megastar known as Ryan Keys! Maybe you've heard of him?!"
Throwing up his arms and waving them around like he just don't care, Lan promotes all of the happenings he's had going on with WCGenesis! Leaning in and wiggling his eyebrows when he name drops Ryan Keys. Azul rolls his eyes and let's out a weary sigh. He's used to this sort of thing.
"And, one of the rising stars in professional wrestling around the world, Caspian Kace!"
Lan looks over at Azul as if he can't believe what he himself is saying, Azul gives a slight nod and an acknowledging shrug that this is all quite a feat on Lan's part. He gives the thumbs up to the name drop of Caspian Kace. He likes him. Who doesn't?
"This isn't even going over my other two star clients outside of the WCGenesis sphere! You take a look at the upcoming Hype card and you'll see, my boys are all over the place! We're becoming a name brand, a rising force to be reckoned with! Soon kids with have Caspian Kace plushies, Ryan Keys photobooks and Azul t-shirts!"
El Bombardero Azul noticeably has to stifle a laugh over how excited Lan is, and his visions of merchandise that are clearly running through his head. His eyes sparkle with the thoughts of all the kid fans of wrestling out there playing with merch featuring his clients.
"Don't misunderstand me either, folks. West Coast Genesis has some of the cream of the crop in its roster, it has ladies and fellas here that are so talented anywhere else they'd be main eventing! Any of them! Every single one of them! They're just that darn good!"
Maybe settling down a little bit, or maybe the caffeine pumping through him is wearing off, but Lan seems to be settling down. He nods and admits that the competition in WCG is stiff.
"But this Hype is something of a coming out party for my clients and I! We're going to razzle dazzle the fans like no one has ever done before! Caspian and Azul will get to show the entire roster the level of skill both of them possess when they tangle with each other and Izzy Rocks! And, my boy, Ryan Keys is going to make his way to the top of the WCG mountain and become champion of this entire shindig!"
Sounding more like an overly excited fan than necessarily a businessman, Lan through gestures with his hands charts out the events for his three clients scheduled for the show. Azul bobs his head in a non-committal agreement.
"And, while I love Caspian like a brother from another mother, my boy Azul is a little camera shy, he's not much of a talker so I'll be doing the talking for him right here and right now!"
Fist pounding his chest and then touching his knuckles to the camera, Lan nods his head firmly along with his bizarre gesture of affection towards Caspian. Even Azul distinctly raises an eyebrow at it.
"Because this man to my side is unlike anyone you've ever seen before. He moves around that ring in a way that only most athletes could dream of on their best days in this sport. He flies with such speed and grace I'd forgive you if you thought he had some wings hiding somewhere on him. He is one of a kind, he is going to do things that most of you fans are going to have to rewind and rewatch to believe what you saw him do."
Popping his eyebrows, Lan nods.
"Oh yeah, he's that good. He possesses a level of skill that is unmatched. And, while I've met some very talented athletes in my short time around this sport, I have never seen anyone with the level of heart and determination as the man standing beside."
His grin fluctuates in size, growing and shrinking only to grow again. He wets his lips and Lan has a gleam in his eyes.
"Simply put, ladies and gentlemen. On September ninth, two thousand and seventeen, when West Coast Genesis airs Hype and my first client, El Bombardero Azul, steps into that ring..."
Lan is speaking in little more than a hushed tone when he starts, pausing to give a coy glance and chuckle to the camera. He adjusts his bowtie again and he looks to Azul, who looks to him. The two men share a look and clearly something unspoken between the two of them. They nod in unison and Lan looks back at the camera and he points to it with conviction.
"You're going to be blown away."
The pride he has over that line is apparent, especially when he does a little fist pump over it. He nailed it in his eyes. Azul even looks mildly impressed by that little play on words. The two men look to each other again and fist bump, Lan mimicking an explosion when they complete it.
"Boom."
The two walk out of shot after that final statement while the scene comes to a close.
