The scene opens up to Aiden Morrow sitting down next to his son, AJ. The two of them are laughing and playing around with monster truck toys. The monster truck toy is of Grave Digger, the legendary monster truck that was Aiden’s favorite growing up and now it's AJ’s as well, clearly he takes after his father. The two play for a few more moments before Aiden Morrow looks up at the camera and smiles.
Aiden Morrow: “I know what you're thinking, ‘Aiden, why would you put your family on display after everything Chris Constantine said?’ You want to know why?”
Aiden turns to AJ and rubs his hand on AJ’s shoulder.
Aiden Morrow: “Keep on playing bud, daddy will be right back, okay?”
The four year old looks up at his father and smiles brightly before nodding. Aiden brushes his hand over AJ’s hair before getting up and walking out of the room and the camera follows Aiden out to the living room. Aiden faces it and he's got a smile on his face before he starts to do a slow clap. He does it for a few
Aiden Morrow: “Congratulations, Chris Constantine. You brought up my life and my past. You put it all out there on full display. You told everyone everything that I've been through. You went over every little mistake in my life. You talked about my first wife, Veronica. You called me a fool for getting her pregnant during my Senior year in high school. I'm sorry for falling in love with a woman who eventually became an addict.”
“But it happens. That's life. Some people fall down that path and make mistakes. When I got Veronica pregnant, I was a kid. But I finished high school and I got a job in construction. I bought a house, I provided for my family. One thing I blamed myself for was when I came home and Veronica left AJ in the car and he almost died from heat exhaustion. Veronica went to prison, we divorced and I've been living with that event for two years.”
“But I don't blame myself anymore. It happened. I wasn't there. But AJ is still here and I've provided for him. He has a house to live in. He has good to eat. He has people to keep himself and to teach him how to be a decent human being. I'm not just talking about myself either, but I'm talking about Melissa Reeves. Yeah, she's only my girlfriend but do I know she's the one? I do.”
“Do I feel like we’ll be married one day? Yeah, I know we will be. And AJ looks at Melissa like a mother figure. Do I feel like my life is perfect though? No, I don't. I'm far from perfect. But I know that I'm providing the right lifestyle for my son. I know that I'm doing my job as a father. The thing is, before my career, my friendships and my relationships, AJ has always come first and I do this for him.”
Aiden nods confidently.
Aiden Morrow: “That's what I have to fight for. It's what I do this for. So Chris can bring up the bad things that have happened in my life to make me look worse than him and his client, Jack Tillman. But the fact of the matter is, I don't care if they think they're better. I know what I bring to the table and I'm not afraid of who I am or what has made me who I am. The thing is, Jack and Chris have reasons for hiding their real lives.”
“It’s because they're afraid. They're scared of being themselves. They're scared to have done to them what Constantine just tried to do to me. You think you've gotten under my skin, Chris? Do you really think that I'm going to be bothered by you bringing up the truth? Granted it was skewed in your favor.”
Aiden laughed and shook his head.
Aiden Morrow: “Here's the thing, Chris… You forgot to mention everything that I've done in the ring. You forgot to mention how I trained with Blyss Lockhart and Flex Johnson. You also forgot to mention how I trained with… And well, dated also, Joey Reyes. You know, the Joey Reyes that your client feuded with in Inferno Wrestling. That's right, I know more more about Jack Tillman than you realize.”
“How about how I'm a two time heavyweight champion? I won the Legacy Championship in Legacy Wrestling, the Proving Grounds Championship in Proving Grounds. In Victory Wrestling, I fought for the Victory Championship before I ultimate fell short. How about how I started off my career on a ten match win streak? All of these things, you've forgotten about. Why is that, Chris? Maybe it's because you wanted me to look inferior to your client.”
“But the thing is, my track record shows that I can compete with anyone here in Redemption Wrestling. I have the pedigree training, I have the accomplishments, the victories over top flight talent. But most of all? I have a reason to fight.”
Aiden steps towards the camera and glares into it.
Aiden Morrow: “Here's the thing, Chris and Jack… I fight for my family. I fight to provide for it. I fight to give my son someone to look up to. All of those mess ups mine? All of those hiccups in the road that I had before I got to where I am? They're lessons. Lessons for AJ to learn from. Lessons for him to be a better man than me. Do I think he will be? I wholeheartedly believe he will.”
“And the thing is, I'm not afraid of AJ knowing who I am. I'm not afraid of him knowing what I had to go through to get where I am… To become the man you see now. Because at the end of the day… I get to go home to my girlfriend and my son and win or lose, they're going to love me. The fact of the matter is, Jack Tillman is going to get me at my best. He's not fighting someone who's shaken to their core because of the words of Chris Constantine.”
“No… Jack is fighting someone who's got a level head. He's fighting someone who's been ready for this match since it was booked. Simply enough, he's going to get one of the best matches he's ever had in Redemption Wrestling and if things go my way, I'm going to be the first person here to pin him. You're going to get the real Aiden Morrow. The Aiden who's raw and isn't afraid to show who he is. The Aiden who's fighting for his family. And win or lose, you can't take that from me. Come match time, you'll see how much heart I truly have.”
Aiden nods and walks away and the scene fades out.
