OOC: Writing credits also go for Jew Blazer and "Adam Sanders"
Some say we're never meant to grow up
I'm sure they never knew enough
I know the pressures won't go away
It's too late
Find out the difference somehow
It's too late to even have faith
Don't think things will ever change
You must be dreaming

“You son of a…”
“Before you finish that sentence, consider the alternative. You’ll have to forgive me but I didn’t see any positive outcomes for sending you out there on your own. I always have your best interest at heart and sending Kenzie down there was better for you than letting you be a sacrificial lamb to the Destroyers.”
Adrien Cochrane barged into Eddie Walker’s office with his interrupted exclamation, finger pointed at his manager as he replies with his rationalization for sending Kenzie Rydell to be Adrien’s surprise tag-team partner. The serious expression on the Dropkick King’s face begins to turn to a smile.
Adrien: “Brilliant! You brilliant little genius you!”
Adrien’s initial commencement into Eddie’s office had the forty-two year old extremely nervous, expecting the three-time World Heavyweight Champion to be angry based on his original demeanor. Instead, Walker feels Adrien placing his hand on the manager’s shoulder. The wide grin eases the married father of one.
Eddie: “Well, as I said before, there was no way I could consider myself a competent manager if I had let you gone out there by yourself and likely be destroyed. I did what I had to in order to keep you from being unable to compete in future matches. Having Stacy sidelined was bad enough. Didn’t need you joining her.”
Walker was right. Adrien wasn’t even going to dispute that matter. His girlfriend, Stacy Sterling, was going to be on crutches for at least another month. Entering a ring on his own against the duo of Kayla Richards and Matthew Shields were not odds in Adrien’s favor for leaving the ring under his own power, even if he was promising to make sure one of them were leaving in the same shape he was.
Adrien: “Honestly, when you first popped up on that screen, I was afraid you were going to do something I wasn’t going to be happy with. Kenzie was a good choice though. And I’m glad you sent her.”
Eddie: “I mean, I did notice you turning down the Young Cubs and Jazmyn Rain for help because they had matches of their own that night. So that basically eliminated me from using Betsy, Blair, Rayven…”
Adrien: “I’m sure Coda was never an option. I wouldn’t have let you use Jew Blazer after his two matches…”
Jew Blazer: “THAT’S MY NAME, DON’T WEAR IT OUT!”
Before anyone thinks to ask why and how and when Josh hid in that particular closet or why he had waited so long to hear his name and spring out, Josh heartily smacks Adrien and Eddie on the shoulder.
Adrien: “Jesus Christ, you scared me!”
Eddie: “Wrong Jew.”
Walker is laughing at Adrien being startled by Blazer’s sudden appearance. He didn’t seem to react himself, perhaps just hiding it better than Cochrane was.
Eddie: “Josh, I’m glad you made it down here! You’re a champion once more!”
Jew Blazer: “Yeah...about that. Promise you won't be mad but uh… celebrating got a little out of hand last night and you...might have to explain something to Devlin.”
The Blazer unzips his jacket to reveal the… JEW Gen title, which now had a large red, white, and blue Star of David painted on the face.
Eddie: “Oh my gosh...I LOVE IT!!! We can worry about how Devlin feels about it when we no longer have it. What kind of paint did you use it? The kind that is hard to come off?”
Jew Blazer: “Yeah. That kind. Confidentially, the fiancé was super into it.”
Adrien takes a step back for a moment as Eddie Walker is gushing over the newest championship belt that he has been a part as a manager. As soon as he does, he has to quickly react to Walker’s iPhone 7 being tossed to him, catching it at the last second.
Eddie: “Come on, Adrien! Take the picture. Josh, come over here, it’s for the wall. Both of us holding the belt, if you don’t mind.”
Jew Blazer: “Fersure, Manager-Man.”
Josh walks over to Eddie and hands him one end of the Jew Gen Championship. The Dropkick King opens the camera application on Walker’s phone before snapping the picture. He shows it to the two men after the photo was taken.
Eddie: “PERFECT!! I love it! I now have the New Gen...I mean Jew Gen Champion on my client list as well as the Young Lions, the Genesis, and are pretty well aligned with the tag team champions.”
Adrien: “You can consider the Heavyweight Champion an ally too.”
Eddie: “Not yet. Yujiro is great. But I want you holding the belt, good sir. I want Jew holding the Jew Gen title here. I want Blair with that Genesis title, Coda with her Young Lions title, and the granddaddy of them all, the big Redemption Wrestling Heavyweight Championship in the hands of the Dropkick King, greatest wrestler in the history of the sport!”
Cochrane blinks a few times before replying.
Adrien: “One step at a time. Let’s worry about this match with Shields before we worry about any kind of championship for me.”
Eddie: “Ugh, so boring. Fine. I guess this means Josh gets to be my new favorite client. What do you say, Josh?”
Jew Blazer: “Gosh, I wish I had prepared a speech or something. I want to thank Eddie for being such a rad Manager and Adrien for being a good sport and whoever invented Gummy Bears because they're awesome and delicious and… you're both giving me that look. Right, I'm still talking. Done.”
The Blazer pretends to zip his lips.
Eddie: “I find it funny you thanked a German man in your speech there for inventing gummy bears.”
Jew Blazer: “Hashtag Not All Germans.”
Even though Adrien was a bit further from the two than they were to each other, he was chuckling at the exchange from the two.
Adrien: “Didn’t you say in that text message for me to come here that you had something for Matthew Shields in case he decides to make an appearance this upcoming show? That was the main reason I came over here.”
Eddie: “Hey, we’re celebrating Josh becoming the FIRST EVER person to win two titles in Redemption! But fine, here. I got it in a file for you.”
Walker hands Cochrane a folder that has the TOP SECRET stamp on it. Cochrane looks up at Eddie then to Jew Blazer.
Eddie: “What? I can’t be telling your business to Jew Blazer anymore than I can tell you his business. It was actually my idea he cash in that title shot against Caroline because I was confident Betsy Granger would wear her out enough. And I didn’t tell him I was sending Kenzie to help you.”
Adrien: “You didn’t tell ME you were sending Kenzie to help me!”
Eddie: “I’m not a perfect man, Adrien. I forget to do things sometimes.”
Adrien knew Eddie didn’t tell Adrien on purpose. Adrien couldn’t stop Eddie from sending someone if Adrien didn’t know he was doing something. Eddie knew that, and Adrien knew that. Even if neither of them wanted to admit it.
Jew Blazer: “It’s so tense in here… I've been holding in a poot for like a minute. I said that out loud. Stupid Josh.”
Eddie: “It’s okay, Josh. You can step outside to do that while Adrien can ask about what is inside of that folder in his hand.”
Jew Blazer: “Right on. I’ll just go… yeah.”
The Blazer steps out for a moment before popping his fuzzy head back in the room.
Jew Blazer: “Hey… there's a guy out here. Think he's waiting for Eddie.”
Eddie: “Ah, your questions can wait, Adrien. We’re about to bring in the next era of a young man’s career. We got a contract to sign. Josh, go fetch the lad! You two can witness this man start the next chapter of his life!”
The Blazer turns and shouts outside the room.
Jew Blazer: “HEY GUY! WE GOTTA START YOUR NEW CHAPTER AND JUNK!”
Into the room enters a man Adrien has known longer than anyone else in the room. It was a face that used to be in the sea of faces when he wrestled in EXODUS Pro. It was a man who Adrien let stay in the downstairs bedroom of his house. And it was the man that Adrien was unsure he would ever step into a ring again.
Eddie: “Adam! Come on in! You know your great mentor Adrien here. Introduce yourself to Josh Goldstein here, the Jew Generation Champion of Redemption Wrestling.”
Adam looks at Blazer with his hand extended, but Goldstein has his hand up high. Sanders nervously high fives the newly crowned champion. While they’ve interacted once or twice on Twitter, this is the first time they’ve met. Cochrane, on the other hand, is quite surprised to see Adam entering the room, prepared to sign a contract.
Adrien: “Adam, you sure you’re ready?”
Sanders nods his head. While it is still your typical weak nod from the awkward youngster, it has a bit more confidence behind it than usual.
Adam: "I am. I need to do this. I have to."
Adrien: “Where is he going?”
Walker gives a toothy grin as he replies.
Eddie: “West Coast Genesis! You guys will practically be co-workers. Different branch of the same organization, basically, right?”
Jew Blazer: “Rad! Lotta great talent there!”
Eddie: “Great place for young, Mr. Sanders here to get back into the ring! Maybe one day, he will be in that Redemption ring with you two!”
Adam looks back up at Jew Blazer before looking back at Walker. Walker sets on the table a contract, that would make Adam Sanders a member of the West Coast Genesis roster effective next week after their big pay per view show.
Eddie: “They are excited to have you, Adam. And it will be a great place for you to develop those skills. Adrien and Ryan are both prepared to help you get back into matches and hopefully get some big victories.”
Sanders nods his head before being handed a pen, this time from Adrien himself, the man who mentored him from the beginning.
Adrien: “If you think you’re ready, sign it.”
Adam doesn't even look back at Adrien as he replies.
Adam: "I'm ready."
Walker points to the bottom of the final page where Adam writes his name after taking a deep breath.
Eddie: “Welcome back, Adam!”
Jew Blazer: “Yeah! Welcome to the Gang! We’re a cool gang with capes!”
Adam: "Thank you, Josh."
Eddie: “Now we got more things to celebrate, Josh! The sun is out today, and I have kosher meats! Let us get this celebration started!”
Adrien takes a deep breath as he looks down at his young protege.
I hope he really is ready.
Think before you make up your mind
You don't seem to realize
I can do this on my own
And if I fall I'll take it all
It's so easy after all
