“How’s everyone doing tonight… No.. that’s lame. Uh, it’s great to be here in… What am I, some generic dude? Gosh, what am I doing? This isn't working. Why would it work? You suck at this Cas, you should ask the higher ups to pair you up with someone who can ACTUALLY TALK..”
“So at hype, I face two opponents!... that I know absolutely nothing about... Sheesh, just get into the groove of things, Cas! Okay!”
“So at Hype, I face one of the craftiest luchadors this company has to offer in the form of the d El Bombadero Azul. Now very little is known about Azul, but what I do know is that El Bombadero Azul translated to English means The Blue Bomb. The Blue Bomb, huh? That’s a pretty awesome nickname if you ask me. Certainly better than ‘Cas’, but what you’ll all find out soon enough is that it’s going to take a lot more than a rad nickname, some kicks, a few flips and a powerbomb to take me out for the three count!”
“Now… For my other opponent, Ms. Izzy Roxx. See, Izzy, unlike Azul and I, is not foreign to a West Coast Genesis ring. In fact, she is on a one match win streak as we speak, pinning Venus at Rise. Now that is cool and all, but there’s a little something that bugs me. If I’m not mistaken, aren’t you a tad bit too young to be professionally wrestling? Isn’t it kinda, sorta, I dunno… Illegal to be competing at the age of 17? But, let me get off the age topic because no matter your age, you’ve given it your all each and every single time you step into that ring. From what I’ve seen so far, you’re a REALLY good wrestler and it’s going to be fun locking it up with the both you.”
“Come September 9th, I plan on giving these folks at San Bernardino Valley a show that they’ll never forget. I will be walking into our match the tallest of the bunch and I will walk out of that match standing tall with my arm raised high. Now I’m not the brightest guy in the world, but what I do know is that I’m going to claw and fight to get to who and where I want to be and no offense at all, but who I want to be isn’t the guy holding his head in defeat. Who I want to be isn't the guy who takes a loss on his debut, it's the winner! Where I want to be isn’t at the bottom of the barrel, it’s at the top with the BEST of the BEST. So one opponent, two opponent, fifty opponents, bring it on! At the end of it all, one of you OR possibly both of you are going to SEE K.O!”

There’s no one in the ring. Just me, my lucky hat, and a live mic. See, wrestling in the independent scene prepared me for a bunch of things. I became aware of the wear and tear that I was gradually inflicting onto my body on a nightly basis and how to prevent these stingers and nagging injuries. I became accustomed to the lonely nights on the road and honestly, it's to my fault most of the time. I became able to wrestle in front of hundreds of people and quite frankly I absolutely love doing what I do. Now while I was ready to perform and wrestle to the best of my abilities, I WAS NOT prepared to cut a promo. I mean come on, look at me. I’m standing in the middle of that twenty by twenty and I’ve got nothing to say. Well, I probably have a lot to say, but I just can’t find the right words.
That’s certainly how I felt trying to cut this god awful promo. See with as much WRESTLING training as I may have had, I was never taught how to cut a proper promo, clearly not in front of an empty performance center let alone a sold out crowd, but that’s what development is for right? To develop myself as a superstar and to develop my character into a respectable, believable guy. I can do no wrong, right?
“So at hype, I face two opponents!... that I know absolutely nothing about... Sheesh, just get into the groove of things, Cas! Okay!”
Wrong. If I want to be a top guy in this business, I’ve got to lead by example. If I want to be a champion, I’ve got to have the right stuff. Leaders don’t chicken out when their promos are bad and champions don’t quit when they’re backed into a corner, so neither will I. I’ve just gotta suck it up, stand up straight and speak from the heart, speak what’s on my mind. I’ve gotta get these frickin’ words out!

Eh, not bad for a novice. I could really get used to this thing.
