Nah, you don't know me
Lightning above and a fire below me
You cannot catch me, cannot hold me
You cannot stop, much less control me
When it rains, it pours
When the floodgates open, brace your shores
That pressure don't care when it breaks your doors
Say it's all you can take, better take some more

“Monarchy. Let’s take a trip down to Wikipedia for a moment. First two sentences…”
Adrien Cochrane appears on camera, and almost as quickly as he starts speaking, the white background behind him, which is apparently a giant screen, goes straight to the Wikipedia page for the word “monarchy”.
“And I read, ‘A monarchy is a form of government in which a group, usually a family called the dynasty, embodies the country's national identity and one of its members, called the monarch, exercises a role of sovereignty. The actual power of the monarch may vary from purely symbolic (crowned republic), to partial and restricted (constitutional monarchy), to completely autocratic (absolute monarchy).’
“It goes on to mention the typical titles of monarchies: emperor or empress, king or queen, grand duke or grand duchess, prince or princess, duke or duchess. Notice that second grouping: King or queen. Now, just this past episode of Glory, you had Kayla Richards come out to the ramp to introduce you and refer to you, once more, as King of the Heavyweights. Kayla Richards used the very phrase ‘the queen takes her throne’ earlier in the night. Part of me is waiting for one of you to call Coda the princess or duchess or something along those lines at this point.
“And what does Dictionary.com say a monarchy is?”
The screenshot changes to the aforementioned website. Underneath the phrase, “British Dictionary definition” is the very words Adrien says next.
“And it states, ‘a form of government in which supreme authority is vested in a single and usually hereditary figure, such as a king, and whose powers can vary from those of an absolute despot to those of a figurehead’. I really like how they end it with the word, figurehead...I’ll get back to that. So the way I see it, Matthew, you’ve got two options. Accept the fact that you three...or four now, I guess...act as a monarchy and stop pretending like I’m not calling you by what you are, according to the technical definition of the word. Otherwise, stop calling yourself the King of the Heavyweights and stop letting Kayla calling herself the queen. You lost your championship. The crown is gone. Everyone is bored of the same old schtick where you expect everyone in your presence to bow when you enter a room.
“I’m not disputing that you don’t consider Coda family. Clearly, you have some sort of attachment to her if you have kept her around, even when you haven’t needed her every single time. But having faith in her means you’re not acting like a monarchy? Oh please, I HAD faith she was going to win that match. Hell, I #Believed she was going to win that championship. I even said so before she did. It’s not some sort of profound offering you have given her that is unique to only you. She’s even got a manager that had absolute confidence that she was leaving that Glory with the championship. It’s like saying you knew the Patriots or Warriors were going to win their respective championships this year. You don’t look like a genius picking the favorite to win something.
“And Kayla, I hate to break it to you, you keep talking down to me and mentioning how I’m going to be easy prey for you. You speak about how I’m some sort of worthless, useless pile of garbage that doesn’t deserve to be in the ring with you. Kayla, dear, circumstances aside, you are officially oh for two against me at the present moment. I’m just saying, it might not be in your best interest to underestimate me. Doing so is what put you in this position where you took that loss in that big tag gauntlet earlier this month. It’s an unwise tactic.
“But what do I care? That’s been my entire career. Being told that I’m garbage. I’m a terrible wrestler. I won’t win or accomplish anything. I’ll never be king of the mountain or overcome anything. And you know what I did, I’VE PROVEN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE DOUBTS WRONG. I’ve practically made my living doing that. Bought a house with the profits from all that debunking of all those cynics and skeptics. But yeah, keep throwing out your overconfident comments, throwing out queries on whether or not I deserve to be where I am. IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A MORON. Which I’m perfectly fine if you want to give yourself that appearance but until you do something other than getting a moral victory after a match, your words carry no weight. And it gives me great comedy.
“So allow me to address this little match a bit. I’m facing the king who isn’t a monarch and the queen who isn’t a monarch. I am but a mere mortal who is just really proficient at a basic move, and my partner is someone who is coming out of a very small promotion in the Dallas area. I will wear that underdog badge with pride if you want to try to make me out as the underdog. Stacy will too. We feed off that like we do seafood in the great state of Louisiana. It won’t be any different than anything I’ve dealt with my entire twelve years in this industry. It stopped bothering me years ago, to be perfectly honest because it isn’t a reflection of me as it is a reflection of you.
“You are both talented individuals. I will never say anything to the contrary. But it would benefit you both if you do what Coda did: admit that I’m pretty skilled in my own right. If you keep preparing for matches with me like I’m sort of joke that doesn’t stand a chance against you, are you really fully prepared at all? Just leaving you with some food for thought. I might have the whole #Believe about my ability to win this match, but at least I’m treating you like a former champion and the number one contender. It’s the smart thing to do. You should try it sometime.”
'Cause I know what it's like to test fate
Had my shoulders pressed with that weight
Stood up strong in spite of that hate
Night gets darkest right before dawn
What don't kill you makes you more strong
And I been waiting for it so long
The nights go on
Waiting for a light that never comes
I chase the sun
Waiting for a light that never comes
Ohhhh
Waiting for a light that never comes
