This scene opens up not in the House of Chaos, but in a gym. Whoa, whoa, whoa since when has a promo ever been shot in a gym? But sure enough the familiar crude setup of a Redemption logo is the first thing we see. From behind the camera two flashlights like spotlights shine and move around the set.
”That’s right folks. You have patiently waited.”
”And we thank you for your support.”
”The con-grats and the outpouring of the haters and lovers alike.”
”Call us narcissists but it’s really all the same.”
”But one thing we must make clear is this show would not be possible…”
”...without the support from viewers like you!”
The flashlights stop shining and a moment later from opposite sides of the camera Daisy and RC slide into the picture with a resounding “TA-DA” from both of them. The tag title belts slung over their shoulders.
”Oh so Zero Hour, oh yea, you saw the results firsthand people. Unless of course you had to DVR it because you had to work. Or you live on the other side of the world. Or you were at the hospital because your grandma had a nasty fall. Hope she gets better.”
”Shoutout to Ms. Granley in Healdsburg, California. Your grandson is a good person.”
”But the fact is you all saw it when this lovely vision over here…” he indicates to Daisy who poses. ”...picked up what might possibly be the biggest win of both our careers. She did that people. And she did it with basically every odd stacked against her going against the experience and skills of those that are probably the greatest tag team NGW ever saw. Thing of it is she didn’t just do those things which is impressive in its own right, all on her own, she picked up three falls in a row.”
”Sound it off my love.”
RC cups his hands and shouts it out to the gym.
”Damon Graves, Trixie, Aurora Knight. Every one of them got a taste of it. But this next match, minus Trixie, will be just the four of us. And there won’t be eliminations. Now okay if we wanna be fair, among the four of us, I was eliminated first and that sucked. Well, I’m not the one to feel sorry for. Even if we hadn’t won, it wasn’t gonna be a thing. But for this match, there’s actually something at stake. Pride. For both teams. Did Chaos Love actually deserve that win or have Rebel Ink lost their step? To us, it doesn’t matter, never has. We’re happy to win, but we’ll be gracious in defeat.”
”But we don’t plan on being at anyone’s feet.”
”We don’t indeed. See we have a responsibility now, to carry these titles with dignity and respect. What’s more, this match is the main event of the show. And that means we are gonna be going all out like never before. If Aurora and Damon want these titles, they’re more than welcome to try to come through us to get to them. After all, this company is called Redemption and everyone deserves their shot for it. But not everyone will get it. And Sunday night, so the story will go for those two. Oh yes, we are definitely hunted for these titles, but we’re always hunting our hunters.”
