The camera switches to an area backstage at the Wells Fargo Center, where Mia Bala is seen stood together with Lowri Moss.
Mia: Lowri Moss, welcome to Redemption Wrestling.
Lowri smiles politely.
Lowri: Thank you. It’s good to be here.
Mia: Now, you are of course one of the sixty-four women that are competing in the All Female Invitational, and so my first question for you is, what is your aim for the tournament?
There is a slight shrug of the shoulders from Lowri.
Lowri: My aim is, I assume, the same as the aim of every other participant in the tournament: to win it; I was the final woman to be entered into the tournament, and once it’s all over, I want to be the final woman left standing.
Mia: Your opponent in the first round is Polly Pocket; how much do you know about her?
Lowri lets out a sigh.
Lowri: Not as much as I would like.
A brief pause follows, before she continues her answer.
Lowri: I believe she has been wrestling for longer than me, but I’ve struggled to find past matches of hers to study, so like I said, I don’t know as much about what she is capable of in the ring as I would like to. Having said that though, I do at least know what I am capable of in the ring, and so while I will show respect to Polly Pocket when she’s stood opposite me in the ring, I’m confident that come the end of the match, I’ll be the one that will get their hand raised.
Mia: Well, for what it’s worth, most people seem to be predicting that you will beat Polly Pocket, to set up a match in the second round against LAVA.
Lowri cracks a half-smirk.
Lowri: So I’ve noticed.
She then runs a hand through her hair.
Lowri: The prospect of a match against LAVA is something that intrigues me. However, it’s not a foregone conclusion that she and I will be opponents in the second round, as just because people are predicting us to win our respective first round matches, that doesn’t mean we can simply turn up and expect to win - we still have to go out there and get the job done.
Mia: You would like to wrestle LAVA, though.
Lowri nods.
Lowri: Yes, I would. And if that’s how things pan out, then great, but I’m not going to look ahead to what could lie in store - I’m going to take this tournament one match at a time. Because you see, the last thing that I want to have happen is for me to get knocked out in the first round, and so for now, I just want to focus on my match in the first round, and on the task of trying to defeat Polly Pocket.
Mia: Okay, Lowri. Thanks for your time.
Lowri again gives the reporter a smile.
Lowri: You’re welcome.
The scene then cuts away.

We cut to a section of the parking lot, pretty much the only place where anyone can expect any space to stretch out, what with the 64 women present for the All Female Invitational tournament. There, Danni LeBlanc can be seen in her ring gear, getting in a last minute warmup, laying a few kicks into the massive hands of her boyfriend, Donovan Basch. Hannah Lacey approaches with caution, careful not to get within striking range.
Hannah: Excuse me, Danni?
Danni takes a break, turning to face Hannah as Donovan stands behind her with his hands on her shoulders.
Danni: Yeah... what’s up, Hannah?
Hannah: Well, first of all, I’d like to welcome you to Redemption Wrestling. I know you’re here for the big tournament, so I won’t keep you. How do you feel taking part in something so huge?
Danni: It is pretty huge... any time you can round up so many of the sport’s toughest women, it’s bound to make everyone else in the industry stop and take notice. Devlin Scott sure knows how to put his company on the map; I’m proud to work for him, even if it’s on the developmental brand, for now.
Hannah: In the first round, you’re taking on someone that is already looking ahead to a potential match that could take place later during the course of the tournament. Does this bother you at all?
Danni shakes her head.
Danni: Story of my life, Hannah. From the moment I signed my first major contract over a year ago, people have looked past me, like I’m not even there. It just motivates me that much more to prove them wrong.
Donovan: LAVA is going to find out the hard way that Danni is not someone to cast aside. She’s as fierce a competitor as they come, and to look past her as if she’s not even there is foolish at best.
Hannah: Do you think it will really come down to who wants it more?
Donovan: No, I don’t. It’s going to be a close fight, to be sure. But I know that my lady will take the fight to LAVA. She can expect to have her hands full.
Hannah: Anything to say before your match, Danni?
Danni: What’s left to say? Donny pretty much said it all. But I will say this... if she wants to get past me, she’s going to have to earn it. I’m sure as hell not going to make it easy on her. I don’t really care about what sort of rivalry she’s looking to start up; she still has to go through me first. Tonight, there’s going to be one hell of a fight. 64 women will square off, but that number’s about to get cut in half. I’m going to do my damnedest to make sure I’m on the side that moves on.
Donovan: You heard the lady... she’s ready to go.
Hannah: Well, best of luck to you tonight, Danni. Again, it’s nice to see you here.
Danni and Donovan nod silently as Danni resumes her warmup and Hannah walks away. With that, the scene cuts away.
