'THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON

That cacophony of noise is followed by a brief silence before the chaos of 'Rip and Tear' by Mick Gordon begins playing. Danny Daemon emerges from behind the curtain holding a harness by which he leads the Manticore to the ring. The Manticore struggles against his bindings and attempts to lash out at members of the audience only to be scolded and tugged away by Danny Daemon. When they reach the ring, Danny undoes the restraints holding Martin who bows appreciatively to his master before he does a frantic lap around the ring, every movement discordant and furious before sliding in under the bottom turnbuckle and springing to his feet. He rushes to the referee but is stopped by a whistle by Danny which causes the Manticore to obediently stalk back over to his corner, waiting for his chance to play.
PHANTOM:
'THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON
THIS IS MY SERMON'
There is a moment of silence before the droning guitar of 'Cape Fear' by Fantomas begins in complete darkness until just as Mike Patton releases a wail in the song which is when The Phantom steps through the curtain with a spotlight on him. The Phantom smiles menacingly as he casually marches to the ring, Danny Daemon right behind him. The Phantom stops walking for a moment as the song slows down to gently sway to the melody, attempting to creepily reach out and caress the cheek of an audience member who pulls away but the Phantom is not bothered. He walks up the ring steps and steps into the ring through the middle ropes. He touches the forehead of the referee and informs them they are truky blessed for what they are about to see before he goes and calmly waits in his corner.

** Brief Character Bio - When Martin was allowed to pick his own last name in the orphanage, a lifetime love of horror movies made him decide on the name 'Karloff' after the actor who portrayed Frankensteins monster in the original Universal 'Frankenstein'.
Martin was also obsessed with wrestling, specifically the Crimson Ghost and with Johnny Maverick's blessing he became the third Crimson Ghost in a small developmental wrestling company called KWI and after the company folded he was signed to BWF. At Survival of the Sickest 2015, the Ghost was unmasked, revealing himself to be Martin Karloff en route to defeating Spyke Gein in an impressive match. He quickly gained a reputation for being a ruthless monster and legitimately unhinged in his persona as 'The Manticore'.
An increased stability due to the romantic presence of Xaria in his life had allowed Martin to repair his fractured mind and create a more triumphant persona for himself. 'The Monster Messiah' was confident, violent, and had a flair for theatrics. He still used body paint to occasionally make himself look like his favorite movie monsters and loved scaring his opponents, but found himself floundering and mocked by many in the company. And as-of-yet undisclosed incident led to Martin being suspended indefinitely from the company due to 'mental health' issues and in that time Martin was contacted by (presumed dead) wrestling Legend Danny Daemon who was seeking a new 'son and heir' as his eldest son Johnny Maverick he had labelled a massive disappointment. Danny taught MArtin to separate the disparate sides of himself into two functioning wholes. The Manticore who is a unhinged feral beast and The Phantom who is a somewhat creepy but intelligent and scheming wrestling mastermind. Martin worships his 'Father' and does his best to spread his teachings through his 'Sermons' which are very broad in scope and definition. Outside of NGW Martin is a loving and committed husband and father who mostly keeps to himself and shies away from interviews and press.
