We open up on an NGW backdrop, as Billy Danielson arrogantly struts out to the middle of the screen. He’s carrying an old-fashioned coffee mug, as he looks at the camera with a smirk.
”You know, since I became a wrestler a handful of years ago, my youtube stream has become mainly wrestling related videos. Go Figure. Now, I was bored at the airport last night, on my way here, and I was watching some youtube videos of old promos from guys from a long time ago. While I was doing this, there was a video that really stuck with me.”
Billy pauses for a moment, as he looks down at the mug with a smirk.
”The video was of this dude from this weird indy company from Connecticut. He was wearing stupid looking sunglasses, a tie-dyed shirt, and was wearing a bandana. I guess he thought he was macho or something, because tie-dye and gravelly voices was macho back in the eighties. Anyways, the interviewer asked him what the cup of coffee was for, and the guy cut him off and said that it represented his opponent’s “cup of coffee” in the big times “yeeeaaah”. I heard this, and something instantly clicked.
Something clicked, because Jessa, this is YOUR cup of coffee in the big time. This is the closest to the Main Event scene as you’ve been so far. This is the closest you will ever get to a champion, to the spotlight, to any of it. You’re going one on one with a former world champion, a current tag team champion, a former wrestler of the year. You’re facing off against THE top tier guy, and you better enjoy it, because as the Slim Jim aficionado said, you’ll never get closer than now. This is the climax of your career, and in your debut match on the main roster, it’ll only go down from tonight.”
Billy drops the plastic mug onto the floor, to where the mic can still pick up the sound of it bouncing around for a half-second. Billy scoffs, as he continues.
”You see, Jessa Jane, you drew the absolute shortest straw when it came to match-ups. I don’t know if Amber Richards has something against you, or maybe Devlin, but you met the peak of your career on day 1, because there is no one better than me. There is no one in this company, barring my brothers in the Dogs of War, that even come close. The fact that you, being as inexperienced as you are, have to wrestle someone of my stature, well… IT isn’t going to be pretty, I can assure you of that.”
Billy pauses to crack his neck
”Jessa, tonight at Dissension, I’m going to exploit you in ways you don’t even know about yet. I’m going to dissect every little thing you do, because that’s what the Dogs of War do. That’s what guys who are called The Greatest of All Time do. We dismantle our opponents until there is nothing left. We drag it out until it isn’t funny anymore, and our opponents are screaming to end their suffering. We do this, especially to rookies like you, because we take the statement you are looking to make, and we turn it on you. We do this, to prove that no matter what your skill level is, we are still better, and the fact that you even want to pretend that you will be leaving victoriously tonight is an insult to me and everyone else like me.”
Scoffing again, Billy is just emanating arrogance. He pauses, looking down at the ground, still silently chuckling to himself as he shakes his head.
”Tonight, Jessa Jane Wilson, you get to enjoy your cup of coffee in the big time, but it’s going to be the most bitter cup of coffee you’ll ever have. It’s going to hit hard, and leave you crashing harder than you’ve ever crashed before. Tonight, you find out the reason why your cousin Melina is afraid to come one up here, where guy like me and the rest of the Dogs of War play. This shit ain’t for the faint of heart, and you’re going to find out real quick that you aren’t ready for what’s in store.
You’re under equipped, overwhelmed, out matched, and in too deep. There’s nothing Jan van der Roost or Alan Envy could’ve taught you or screwed into you that can get you ready tonight. There’s no prayer you could pray, or insurance policy you can take out that can save you from what I plan on doing to you tonight. Run, jump, kick, scream, our match is set for One Fall, and that’s all it’s going to take for me to pin your ass to the mat, and make you rethink your entire career from here on out.
Billy grabs a water bottle from off screen, and takes a drink. He makes a sigh of relief, as his smirk returns to his face. He looks at the camera with a form of malicious intent
”After everything is all said and done though, I just hope you know that this is all business, poor little Jessa Jane.I mean, there’s apparently a chance I could be related to your dopey ass, and that would be REALLY sad if you ended up like my demented brother, Jimmy, because of tonight. Just take a deep breath, and remember that you never really stood a chance to begin with. So enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame, as you come crumbling, because after tonight
Everything that has to do with the name Billy Danielson, or the Dogs of War,
Is about to get…
GREAT!
And you get to be front row for all of it!”
Billy winks at the camera, as he sarcastically waves.
”See you soon, kiddo!
Billy laughs as he walks away. The scene fades to black
