The scene opens up with Gavin Grimes sitting inside of a gym and it’s obvious that he just got done working out due to him being covered in sweat. He sighs as he wipes his face with a towel to get the sweat out of his face. Gavin stands up and looks at the camera with a serious look on his face.
Gavin Grimes: ”So what is it that you all want from me? Do you want me to express anger about having to team with Avery Miles III after he dropped me two weeks ago? Do you want me to talk about Alechs and Jeremy Starling, two guys that shouldn’t be in the same ring as me? What the fuck do you want?”
He sighs and shakes his head before grabbing a water bottle near by and taking a sip to hydrate himself.
Gavin Grimes: ”I’m not going to lie, I’ve got bigger fish to fry than this tag team match. Sure, Avery is a great competitor who’s done a lot of good in this business and we’ve had a tough battled match last year. I know what he’s capable of but he still isn’t on the level of what’s on my mind and plus, he’s my tag team partner. It’s just funny that I have to sit here and talk about Alechs and Jeremy as if they matter.”
“Here's’ the thing though, they don’t matter. Yeah, Avery and I don’t get along but neither do those two. But guess who are the two proven veterans? Who are the two that will take this match seriously despite their current beef? It’s clearly Avery and I. So do I really need to tell all of you that I’m going to go in and win this match or can you do the fucking math for yourself? Because I feel like the answer should be clear to all of you.”
“So all this promo is, is a bunch of fluff. It’s me sitting here telling you that I have more important matters to worry about right now. Like in a week from today, I fight Gray Malone in DARC Wrestling. Is it iimportant because of Gray? Nah, fuck no. It’s important because I need to show that he’s a bitch. I need to show the world that he isn’t a fucking king and that he’s a piece of shit scrub. I could’ve done it here in Redemption but ya’ll already know he’s a joke.”
“Over there in DARC though? They think he’s on my level. They think he’s talented. But in all reality, he’s fucking trash. I need to teach everyone over there in DARC that nobody is on my level. So yeah, some of my focus is on that match. But where else is my focus? Of course it’s on #FSociety’s last show, Revelation. I’m going up against none other than Felicity Banks, the HKW World Champion. So that’s where my head is right now. I’m worried about fighting the top fighter in wrestling right now. So yeah, this Redemption match? It’s whatever.”
“I know that’s not usually my attitude but it is what it is. I mean, you got a guy like Alechs who is super excited just to be in the ring with someone like me. Good for you, bud. I’m glad you’re excited and I'm glad you’re going to give it your all. But the fact of the matter is, you are going to get fucked. I got you down to a T. It doesn’t matter that this is the LEAST important match in my life right now, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t done my homework. I’ve got you down, bud, all the way back to your Alpha Wrestling shit, I’ve watched it all.”
“Then you got your partner, Jeremy Starling. What kind of fucking name is that? Starling? Get bent. But hey, he’s got that Young Lions title, so it must mean something, right? NOT! It don’t mean shit. Nobody gives a fuck about your belt, especially since it’s the second to last one of the singles titles in Redemption and how many of those belts exist? Five? Then you have tag titles and the Global Cup, which means you’re almost at the bottom of about eight championships, which includes that one Global Cup trophy.”
“So like I said, is Jeremy supposed to impress me? Is that belt of his supposed to mean something? Because in all honesty, it doesn’t impress me. If I wanted to, I could take every singles championship and make it mine at the same time. None of the champions are worthy to be in a ring with me, especially that cry baby Matthew Shields. Dude is always crying on Twitter and trying to talk all majestic. You’re a fucking bitch. You think I forgot who you used to be? The dude without the tattoos who had a fetish for fat chicks like Emma Dylan?”
“Don’t you think it’s amusing that you work for Devlin Scott, the dude who stole your fat girl from you? Then when he did it, you disappeared for a couple months before coming back with a body full of tattoos. You’re just a fake little bitch who’s had to continuously reinvent himself but here’s the thing, we all know you’re still a fucking joke. That title around your waist doesn’t change shit and when you lose that belt? You’ll probably disappear again.”
Gavins scoffs and shakes his head.
Gavin Grimes: ”Whoops, I guess I got a bit off topic there, huh? But hey, I’m just giving you all a little piece of my mind. I gotta get my emotions out somehow because I’m annoyed with the majority of you, especially the ones calling yourselves king and then calling your wife or significant other your queen. News flash motherfuckers, Ashleigh and I? We were doing that BEFORE it was cool. NGW also knew us as the POWER COUPLE. You want to know why we were called the Power Couple? Because we WERE and we still are.”
“The fact is, none of you cucks can do it like we did it. You think Kayla Richards joining Redemption as a competitor will change anything for Matthew? Nah, it ain’t going to do shit. Your shit is weak bruh. I mean fuck, Shields is fighting The Great Manabu who came out for his open challenge for his belt. The only reason I didn’t come out was because Manabu was there first. How the fuck would some random be ready to come out for that?”
“Clearly it’s a setup for Shields to defend his belt and make him look good. But if he had to defend against me? He’d fucking lose because he can’t beat me. You want me to show you how it’s done, Shields? Then watch what I do to Alechs and Jeremy. Then you can watch what I do to Felicity Banks, a REAL champion. Then? You can watch me tear about Gray Malone in DARC. While the rest of the world is all talk… I CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU RESULTS! AND I’M GOING TO KEEP DOING SO! COUNT ON IT!”
He nods and walks away and the scene fades.
