-When it comes to wrestling, you never want to give your opponent to much info. I call it adding bullets to the chamber. When you give to much info, by means of showing off your loved ones or your personal views of things or your just showing bits and pieces of your past, well that's ammo that your opponent can use against you in promos or during your matches. I've seen it to many times where wrestlers show off their weaknesses to everyone and everyone that other wrestlers will use that info to win matches. Case in point, RC Tucker has a wife and a 4 month old unborn child. If Jack and RC were in a really heated battle, I mean really hated each other where lines could be crossed, guess what Jack might do if he really wanted to fuck with RC? He'd go after RC's wife. Rough her up a little. Strike the fear of God in RC enough to where RC is off his game.
-I just laugh and take notes as I see everyone in the wrestling world today go above and beyond giving their life stories so that the masses can see and try to understand them as an individual. Ever it be by promos, mini videos, or on Twitter......they just want to whore themselves out just to feel loved or important for once in their life's. This is why we don't tell to much about Jacks personal life or past, because we don't want it used against him. Keep the narrative that Jack is this beast and that he's just a badass. If I tell you a little bit about his taste in things or glimpses of his past.....you lose that lure of him.
- Leaning against my desk, I place my hands in my pocket as I look into the camera. In my office in Chicago, Illinois I do my best to look presentable as I'm in my usual suit and jacket. With bullet points in my head, I get this promo going with a slight grin on my face.
Chris Constantine: "If you haven't noticed by now when Jack and I do promos for Redemption, it matters who the opponent is for that week who speaks. If you're worthy of Jacks time, Jack talks to you. When you're not worthy of Jacks time, you get me because Jack has better things to do than talk to a nobody. So guess which category you fall under Mr. Tucker?"
-I can't help but smile as I lean towards the camera.
Chris Constantine: "Thats right! You aren't worthy of Jacks time Mr. Tucker because let's be honest, you're just another body in this company that will never accomplish anything because you're just not good enough. Not on your own of course. Yes, yes, yes. You won tag team gold. Congratulations, you're half a person. But as a singles competitor, what have you really done for this company? You're just another sports entertainer who's faced off against other crappy wrestlers. No talent. No skills. Nothing but sloppy work in that ring with no want or need to get any better. For someone like you Mr. Tucker, you show up, put on your half ass performance, and get that pay check that you get paid way to much for your performance."
-Placing my hands together, someone in a pleading motion, I continue the promo.
Chris Constantine: "Mr. Tucker, I make a single request to you before your match with Jack. That being.....don't show up. You are out skilled, out trained, and out matched if you step in the ring with Jack. If you've been hiding under a rock for the past couple of months, you would know that Jack Tillman is one of the most dangerous men in Redemption. Never been pinned, never been submitted, this companies greatest Genesis Champion, and the hottest wrestler in the industry today. While you......your close to that Jobber status.
Mr. Tucker, think about your career. How are you supposed to support your family when your spine is broken after Jack has had his way with you? Think of your wife who needs you in this time in her life while she's pregnant. Think of your unborn child who may never have a normal father who's unable to lift her up or play with her because he's stuck in a wheel chair. And when that little girl ask why daddy is stuck in a wheel chair.......you can tell her that daddy got in a ring with a real man..... and that real man broke daddy because daddy was a child playing in a mans industry.
Or you can be a fool and show up. At the end of the day Mr. Tucker, it's your decision to walk into that ring......just like its Jacks decision to either let you walk out of that ring......or to leave you in a body bag. Best of luck Mr. Tucker.......because you're going to need it."
-I'm about to walk off the cameras view, but I stop as I remember I still have a bullet in the chamber. Stopping mid step, I look back at the camera as I finish off the promo.
Chris Constantine: "Oh....and Daisy......my advice to you is to not watch this match because at Glory Jack will be sending a message to Trixie and anyone else stupid enough that wants a shot at the Genesis Title. Your husband will be nothing more than a sacrificial lamb to the one and only......Jack "The Ripper" Tillman. Oh and be a peach for me and say hey to the kid for me. I'm sure it'll be a cute one."
-Bang. Head shot. With that, end scene as I walk off from the cameras view.
