The scene opens up on Jessa Jane is she is sitting looking at her EIW tag titles that she had won, but not lost before the company went on hiatus. She knew it was opening up again, but she wasn’t interested in going back. She was happy being in NGW after moving up from WCG like it was planned. She was happy being in the same company as Jeremy. They had met, and instantly she fell for him. There was something about him that she could tell that he was the right one for her. She didn’t even care that his daughter was part Cornett when the Wilsons really hated the Cornetts. She saw someone she could fall in love with, and not worry about him being gone, him out cheating, trying to control her and doing who knows what else. She could finally be in a relationship, a true one. Something she lacked in her last one, and the one before that. Jessa was finally happy. Jessa was even more happy that things were out in the open now even. It was the right moment.
Still, though, Jessa had other things on her mind, as she was looking at the tag titles. She had her debut match in NGW against someone she knew, someone she had felt she had no problems with, someone who was connected to her ex-boyfriend. One she was sure he would find a way to exploit as well. Yet in a way, Jessa also found it funny that the same guy had rumors of a sister, and one of the places she could be from was Boise, Idaho, the same place Jessa was from. Jessa lets out a small laugh thinking about that.
Jessa: To think I could be facing my possible “relative” if rumors are true. I wonder if he has made that connection yet. I know he has made the connection about my ex. If not, that is on Billy. Really it is funny to me.
Jessa again laughs. She knew Billy may not have realized she was a Wilson, not many did since she went by Jessa Jane. It was you could say a force of habit for her. She was forced to by her first ex. She smiles softly.
Jessa: Hello Billy, I am sure I know what all you will be saying to me, or about me. I can imagine you will pull the whole who I used to date card. Go ahead, I know he is a joke, and not even worth it. Really, all being with him did was show me I could become something on my own, that I did not need him. That I was better off without him. Go ahead Billy, bring him up more, show me that you don’t have much on me. Show me you would rather focus on my past relationship, than my in-ring work.
She pauses for a few minutes. She had thought of something else she could use. It would make sense for him to of course use it.
Jessa: Or wait I know, you could bring up my whole family. That won’t bother me much at all either. You can’t always pick your family, wait… course, there is that rumor, so could end up saying things about your own family. You never know. Really, though use my family, make comments about my family. Really, for the most part, it is all out of the ring things with them after all. Again Bily, go ahead, use them, won’t matter to me.
She laughs again. She couldn’t help it. She knew both things Billy could use, it really wouldn’t make any difference on. It didn’t define her in-ring work at all.
Jessa: Really what else can you use, oh yeah that my ex trained me. Some people just don’t want to listen to reason or the truth. They would rather just keep saying the same things. I have been trained by quite a few people, granted even your former stablemate, and an ex-girlfriend’s family. I have been trained by my own family, by my in-laws, by others. One person I was never trained by was my ex. It was only logical for me to train at Squires, why would I go to some other gym to train? When I trained there, it was with other trainers, or people like Rooster, like Sam Tolson. You could say, I owe my ex nothing when comes to my training.
Jessa lightly shrugs her shoulders, as that was how she looked at it. She didn’t owe her ex anything, he had nothing to do with her training. She was never even in the ring with him at Squires. She didn’t even pick him to be her partner in EIW when she needed a new one. That should really tell you something.
Jessa: Billy sure talk about how you are on a whole other league than I am. Like it makes any difference. I am still a rookie and have only lost 2 matches. That isn’t bad for a rookie. I even got to be tag champions in my last company by myself when I beat my own partner. Really, Billy, all you have on me is more experience and titles than me because I am a rookie. Acting like that is a bad thing when it really isn’t. It’s okay, I don’t mind, I will enjoy making you see stars. You have your blackout, I have my seeing stars. I wonder which one will use their first.
She lightly smirks. She was hoping she would, as she knew a lot of people didn’t think she could knock them loopy with it, and she would prove them wrong.
Jessa: Truthfully Billy, I don’t care about your little feud with your former tag partner, I don’t care about your past with my ex. None of that matters in this match. What matters is you, and I in this match. It only matters what we do, and our talent. None of the outside stuff. Say what you want, it won’t make any difference. Just like me still having this title won’t. I will see you on Sunday.
Jessa stands up, as she brings the tag titles she has up. She starts walking over to a cabinet, opening the door. She looks down at the title, before placing it inside. She shuts the door, walking away from it. The scene fades out as she walks out of the room.
