Two young men walk up to the large door of an old Colonial style home. One is dressed up as a zombie, his clothes ripped and dirty, fake blood running from his teeth. The other is dressed up like a viking, complete with the horned helmet and a large fake axe.
"Why are we here Karston? She already said she didn't want to go."
"She said she didn't know if she could go Gunnar. It's not a big deal. The party is like five minutes from here. Don't worry, you'll still have plenty of time to get Todd drunk and see if he'll let you touch his dick."
Karston looked over at his friend, giving him a bit of a hard time about the preferred gender of his companions. He turned and knocked on the door, then waited for about thirty seconds. He knocked again and waited once more.
"She's not here man, let's go."
Karston told him to wait up and he knocked one more time. Again both waited, and again there was no answer. They went to walk away, but then Karston noticed an upstairs light flip on. He went back to the door and knocked again, with Gunnar waiting on the street and looking very annoyed. Once again there was no answer. Karston sighed and started walking off.
"STOP!"
Karston's eyes darted up to the window where the light was on. He saw a shadow raise up a bottle and then move across the room.
"PLEASE DON'T!"
Karston charged at the door, driving his shoulder in to it. The door flew open and Karston bolted up the steps, taking them two at a time. He looked down each end of the hallway, and saw the light coming through the bottom of the door. He charged forward and slammed through another door. He saw Aaynet laying on her bed, tears in her eyes as an older overweight man hovered over her. He had a bottle of whiskey in one hand, as his other one was resting on her upper thigh.
"Who in the fuck are you?"
Karston didn't say a word. He looked at the hand on Aaynet's thigh and then flew at the man, tackling him down to the ground. He drove a right hand in to the man's cheek, then another and another.
"Sick piece of shit."
Karston pummeled the man with rights and lefts. Gunnar came charging in and pulled Karston away. Gunnar looked down and saw the man was a bloody mess. He looked to have a broken nose and severe damage to both cheeks. Aaynet looked up at Karston, then jumped up from her bed and wrapped her arms around him.
"Thank you. Please don't leave."
Karston put one arm around her and nodded his head. The man groaned slightly and spit out a little blood as the sound of police sirens were heard, and then a few seconds later the bright red and blue lights lit up the outside.
"You're fucked now boy."
Aaynet looked back at him and kicked him the face.
"Not when I tell them everything you did."
She turned back to Karston and Gunnar.
"I'll tell them that you saved me."
Gunnar gave her a nod, and Karston stayed silent as he looked down at his bloody hands. The cops came charging in to the room, two of them with tazers drawn.

Karston sits alone out on the balcony of the apartment he shares with Gunnar and Aaynet. He wears a pair of dark green athletic shorts, and no shirt. His cell phone rests against a candle designed to keep bugs away, facing right at him.
"I guess it's mine turn to talk now. Aaynet is probably gonna be a little bit upset. First Gunnar talks about the match on his own, now me. She's not gonna be upset that we handled her own business. No, she's gonna be upset because she wanted to verbally rip these two douche bags, a brand new asshole."
Karston gives a slight smirk as he looks off for a few seconds.
"I could sit here and expand on what Gunnar said about this match. How these two assholes targeted us right from the start. I could talk about the fact that both of them are bigger than us. I could talk about their whacked out little speeches. I could talk about their cheap Aaynet rip off. I could sit here and trash them for hours and hours, and most likely never repeat myself. Believe me boys, nobody in that crowd or the back, is buying in to the crap spewing out of your mouths. You two are so hated, that the people are cheering for me and Gunnar to beat the hell out of. I don't know if you've noticed, but we're not exactly the nicest guys in the World. We enjoy beating people up, and we are damn good at it. We've attacked the golden boy of this company. We've attacked everyone's favorite little champion. Yet when we're placed against you two, we're seen as heroes. We're seen as saviors. We're seen as... messiahs."
Karston smirks once more, knowing that one might get under their skin a little bit.
"Now I said I could talk about you, but that's not what I want to do. I want to talk about me and Gunnar. The fact that we've had each others backs for close to fifteen years now. The fact that we were not only born in the same year, in the same month, on the same day, but within fifteen minutes of each other, at the same damn hospital. Me and him could have been side by side in that damn room they cram all the babies in to. You two are family by chance, me and Gunnar are family by choice. There is not a man alive that I trust more than Gunnar, and I know he would say the same about me. The two of us, we would take a bullet for the other. Our bond has nothing to do with us both shooting out of the same womb. No, our bond was forged through tragedy. Our bond was forged through violence. Our bond was forged through fighting for each other, because nobody else would. Our bond is stronger than yours will ever be, because it's a bond forged in battle. If my life was on the line, there is no one else I would choose to be by my side. That is something that can not be broken, and can not be beaten."
Karston looks straight ahead and just raises his fist in the air as he lets out a low growl.
