Kayla stands with a really over the top smile looking around. She breathes deeply and tilts her head with a happy content sigh. Her long black hair down her shoulders and back as she wears a well fitting black dress looking as much of a lady as she can, her tattoos and smooth tanned skin on full display as she clears her throat.
“I know what you’re all thinking. Kayla you and Coda failed at the last hurdle to secure tag title shots for yourselves, so why are you smiling?. Well, I got to kick Adrien Cochrane in the throat. Why wouldn’t I be happy?. And see while Coda and I lost the battle we definitely put our feet down as two of the most devastating professional wrestlers on this planet. The Karloff's know exactly what it’s like to be beaten down by us and after the match Adrien felt the full power of myself and Coda…”
“And haven’t we heard so much about it since. The whining and crying not just from The Dropkick Pussball but also his yapping dog of a girlfriend the wannabe superhero Stacy Sterling. Oh they are such a cute rambunctious couple. But all I have heard is how Coda and I stepped over some invisible line. You know what happened in Washington Adrien?. You won, you won a match but then you lost the war. See now you’re stuck getting a tag title shot dragging along 114 pounds of special school short bus blonde dogshit known as Honey….”
“Yippee…”
“But the bigger issue in all this Cochrane is that you needed your little superhero to watch your back. You don’t ever see Matt fighting my battles for me do you?. You don’t hear myself or Coda whining about what we do in the ring. You want it to be all fun and games and honor then go pick another company or profession. Cause this one ain’t for you sweetheart….”
Kayla scoffs and rolls her eyes taking a seat before delicately crossing her legs over adjusting the long flowing dress at the bottom as she places her hands on her knee.
“A few weeks ago before the tag scramble Mr Cochrane you said I was arrogant and blind to the abilities of my opponents.”
Kayla smiles softly and lightly moves her hair from down the side of her face.
“Arrogant?. Of course I am. We all are. We’re victims of our egos and to pretend anything else is just lying and being dishonest. You call yourself the Dropkick king and even though that’s just supposed to be a fun little moniker to brag about how good you are at one particular move it’s still a play on monarchy. The exact thing you seem to have an issue with Matt about because he dared to call himself the King of the heavyweights. But blind to your abilities?. No Mr Cochrane, you have it all wrong…”
“I’m not stupid or some arrogant little girl as Jack Tillman said I was. I know full well how good you are in that ring. I don’t underestimate anyone. I even know that the bubblehead you teamed with has some promise and skill. As does her idiot cousin. I know your girlfriend can get in the ring and mix it up, the difference is that I know I’m more dangerous and you…..you’re a fool if you don’t see it….”
“Hell you said it yourself talking this week about Coda and myself and the little attack. You’re certainly not an idiot. Coda is not a monster. Beneath the violence, beneath the struggle to fully comprehend a few things in how the world works is a sweet girl. And I won’t have you implying that we mistreat Coda. She is family. My family.”
“But you’re right, she’s not a monster. You prattled on a dictionary meaning for the word. Amusing. But you need to realise that monsters aren’t imaginary. I fully admit I do monstrous things. Codas does things because she’s asked to or because logically it helps her attain her own goal. I do things because I like to hear people like you squeal. Coda doesn’t know the difference between right and wrong sometimes...she can’t always be held accountable Adrien….”
“I know the difference...but I don’t care. Many people have called me a cold uncaring bitch. And maybe I am. But I’m loyal to those I love. I’m loyal to Matthew, and I’m loyal to Coda. And if you dare try and warp her mind I will hold you down and I will very slowly, one by one, pull each of those perfect white teeth out of your skull, then make them into a necklace that I will wear on fucking thanksgiving….”
Kayla offers up another sweet smile and a sigh flicking her hair out a little more as the sun shines.
“But Adrien you’re not my only opponent this week, it is a tag match with Coda and myself against you and the Redemption Heavyweight champion Mr Yujiro Fujiwara. Well. Yujiro, this is the first time I’ll be addressing you directly when not in the context of facing my soon to be husband. I seem to have a bit of an advantage here. Not only am I already in your head with our numerous interactions during your matches with Matt but I’ve been able to study you close.”
“And I’ve also been able to notice that you’re underestimating me. And don’t say you’re not Yujiro, I could hear it in your voice and see it in your eyes and in the things you said about me. You want to talk about Karma and good and bad. You don’t know a goddamn thing about Karma. You don’t know anything. See the notions of good and bad and right and wrong only exist in a world that is just and fair. And I can tell you after 23 years of pain, anger and frustration, after spending my entire adult life dealing with the truth of it all I can tell you that karma is bullshit…”
“And this isn’t some pity party Yujiro, this is just me telling you what I think you need to hear. If the world was fair would a person like me be as successful as I have been?. Why should Matt and I be rewarded with all that we’ve done?. You might think that you having that championship is the universes way of rewarding you and punishing Matt, untill you realise that I’m the one in your future. I’m the one standing in your way and as great as my Matthew is….I’m a vficious angry bitch.”
“He’s a pitbull, angry and strong, but me?...I’m a small terrier. I’m the one you look at and smile because I’m cute and adorable. But when you get close I’m waiting to bite. And that’s what I’m going to do to you. And eventually...when all the dust settles you and Adrien will see that nice guys finish last and those who live by honor and respect and doomed to be a joke….”
