Gavin is sitting down on a chair in his HKW Underground locker room. He just got done losing his match against Aries Armadaist. He’s already watching the highlights of the match on the flat screen in the locker room. He watches Josh Mitchell come down the ramp when Aries is about to nail Gavin with the prosthetic leg. Gavin sighs and shakes his head as he sits there by himself. He finishes watching the match, Aries thumbing him in the eye and then picking up the pin on him. Gavin scoffs and rolls his eyes before he pulls his phone out and holds it above him and he begins to record a video.
Gavin Grimes: ”You fans know me better than anybody. You’ve been with my since almost the beginning. NGW, Redemption, it doesn’t matter what you call this place anymore, it’s still a part of me just like I am a part of it. You want to know why I’m not in the Hall of Fame yet, like Carmine and Wadjethotep? Because my time here isn’t finished, and Devlin Scott knew that. But yet, if you were to ask who the greatest NGW/Redemption competitor of all time is… The majority of the answers would be me.”
“This place is alive because of me. All of the good and bad that I’ve done over the last year and a half, it’s all helped build this place and build me as well. There’s one iconic moment that you all remember. You all remember me taking my wife, Ashleigh Grimes, and shoving her into a cold shower and holding her there as the live NGW show went off of the air. Do you all remember why I did that? I did it because Ashleigh decided to interfere in my match with Mark Storm.”
“Did I lose or get disqualified because of her? Nah, I won. But I don’t give a fuck about winning that way. It sent me over the edge, it made me rage and it made me show Ashleigh that I don’t want that shit to ever happen again. I don’t need anyone’s help when I’m in the ring. I want to do things on my own and i want to win on my own. It’s how I’ve always been. So over in HKW Underground tonight, I had a match against Aries and Josh Mitchell decided to come down to the ring because Aries was about to hit me with a prosthetic leg that belongs to Josh.”
“Yeah, the story is weird and fucked up but who cares about them. Why I’m talking about this is because due to Josh coming down to the ring, Aries was able to hit me with a thumb to the eye and pick up the win, costing me the match. It’s reasons like this that I hate people coming down to the ring. Josh was supposedly trying to help me but did he? Nah, he didn’t. He cost me the match. So in Redemption, I’m going to fight against Martin Karloff, a dude who’s clearly off of his rocker. When it comes down to it, I’m going to beat Martin on Sunday, you can count on that. But I just want it to be known that if anyone comes down and interferes in my match? If there’s any kind of funny stuff? I’m going to rage. Don’t fucking cross me. Don’t fuck with my matches. I want this to be between Martin and I, nobody else. Everyone got it? Good. See you all at Glory..”

The scene cuts away before it opens back up again with Gavin leaning up against a black BMW, which appears to be his car. Gavin has a snapback 76ers hat on backwards, a throwback Allen Iverson jersey, black baggy pants and a old school pair of Iverson shoes. He’s clearly inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia where Redemption is set to be held tonight. Gavin looks into the camera and smiles.
Gavin Grimes: ”So here we are, the place I’m going to be fighting Martin Karloff. Martin thinks I have a flippant attitude. Are you for real, bruh? Flippant? I’m just being myself. I know you got this whole scary and intimidating thing going on but I don’t fear anyone. I’ve been in the ring with monsters and I took them out. I’ve fought giants like Corey Bull and came out the victor. I’ve defeated huge guys like Ramsay Bodach when I came in the underdog. And Martin wants to talk about leaving the match with a piece of me, even if he loses?”[/COLOR[
Gavin chuckles and shakes his head.
Gavin Grimes: ”You think you’re the only one that can get to that level? I can go to that level too. Hell, you all know about Adrien Cochrane, the most overhyped debut of all time here in Redemption, right? His claim to fame now is that he is the first person to beat Ally Morrow. You wanna know what’s funny about that? Allyson was still hurt because of what I did to her. Adrien didn’t beat Ally, I did. Because in the match Ally and I had, she might have won the battle but I won the war. She came out worse than I did. So hey, Adrien? You’re fucking welcome.”
A grin runs over Gavin’s face before he shrugs.
Gavin Grimes: ”If I did that to the one and only Ally Morrow, what do you think I’m going to do to you, Martin? Win or loss, you’re going to be the one who’s never going to be the same after this match. You might feel like two men right now, but when I’m done with you? Your brains are going to be scrambled so much that you’re going to have more personalities than Corey Bull. So in a few hours, I’ll be seeing you Martin. And you’re going to see that I’m not afraid of you and at the end of it all? You’ll fear me. You’ll see why I’m the man in Redemption. You’ll see why I’m it’s most important star. You’ll see why I’m the greatest competitor this company has ever seen. You’ll see it all.”
Gavin nods and then walks into the arena before the fades out.
