((Vegas Diner))
((May 20th, 2017))
Ciara walks into the little diner where she agreed to meet Gavin, dressed in her gym wear of tight yoga pants and black sports bra with a matching hoodie unzipped over the top, she looks around the place for a moment, ignoring the couple of old men at the bar trying to get her attention she rolls her eyes before walking over to a booth and dropping down in it to wait for him. Pulling out her phone she runs through some scheduling and glances at twitter, not wanting to just sit and stare at the door awaiting his arrival, she orders a black coffee and asks for a minute before she orders any food. Gavin walks through the door, wearing a black T, along with black baggy jean shorts, white socks high enough to cover his legs and white Nike shoes. He stands next to Ciara who's looking down at her phone and bumps his elbow into her arm gently.
Gavin Grimes: "Hey."
She puts her phone down on the table and glances up at him with a half smile.
Ciara Barten: "Hey yourself."
She nods at the other side of the booth for him to sit down, locking her phone she slides it into her pocket and sips her coffee.
Ciara Barten: "Sorry I bailed last night, some... weird shit went down and I didn't feel right leaving."
He sits down on the other side and shrugs his shoulders.
Gavin Grimes: "It's fine. It worked out better this way anyway."
She nods and sips her coffee again letting out a small sigh, her eyes don't quite meet his as she looks around the diner some.
Ciara Barten: "Okay, well... you wanted to talk right?"
His brow furrows.
Gavin Grimes: "I did? I thought you wanted to talk!?"
He says playfully, trying to lighten the mood. She frowns at him and shakes her head, tapping her fingers on the table she lets out another sigh.
Ciara Barten: "Yeah, I've been avoiding my home gym and letting someone else run circuit training because seeing you and talking to you is number one on my list of things I wanna do."
She scowls and looks down, letting out s third sigh her tone softens.
Ciara Barten: "Sorry, i just... I guess I don't understand why you want to drag up the past."
He scoffs and leans forward.
Gavin Grimes: "So what? You'd rather tiptoe around each other awkwardly until you decide to bail on Nightfall for Anderson's?"
She turns her nose up at him.
Ciara Barten: "I'm not bailing, I just wanted to let things die off... you seemed kinda mad I was back and..."
She groans and leans back into the bench.
Ciara Barten: "Fine, what do you want to know?"
He sighs and shakes his head as he sinks into his seat.
Gavin Grimes: "I don't know... I guess I just want to put everything on the table. You tell me how you felt... I tell you how I felt over all of it and we go from there."
She shrugs her shoulders and waves a hand at him, picking her cup up after.
Ciara Barten: "You first."
She sips the coffee again and stares at him over the rim of her cup. He sighs as he looks up into her eyes, there's obviously a lot of hurt in his as he takes a deep breath and speaks.
Gavin Grimes: "I know I wasn't the greatest boyfriend. But you knew what I went through and you were the first person I put my faith and my trust in. I had nothing, nobody but you. No family, no friends... All I had was you and my training. And then like everyone else... You left abandoned me."
He pauses to take another deep breath.
Gavin Grimes: "And now here you are, back in my life like it's nothing, like I had closure over all of it. But I don't. When I see you, I feel pain... I feel anger and hurt and it drives me insane. Seeing you reminds me of what happened to me because just like my parents who disowned me... It felt like you did the same thing. And now here you are, around but not really around because you don't even want to so much as glance at me... Like I'm fucking worthless, like I don't exist. I don't want you like we were before, I'm not even sure if I want to be your friend but I want to move on from the past and I want you to pretend like I exist... Like that maybe, just maybe, I matter a little bit... Because you mattered to me... You still do despite leaving."
She stares at him for a long moment, her voice cracking slightly when she speaks.
Ciara Barten: "You think I left because I didn't care about you? See Gavin, that's one of your problems, you don't see things for what they are, you have this skewed world view when it comes to the people around you, you're always so fucking on guard and expecting the worst to happen, that eventually you push people to it."
She looks down at her hands in her lap after putting her cup down and half closes her eyes.
Ciara Barten: "I left because I loved you too much to stay, I didn't want to stay and grow to re you, to hate you because I came second, to the training, to your future... deep down I honestly don't think you ever really saw me a part of your future, you were too fucking focused on getting where you wanted to be."
She sighs and closes her eyes the rest of the way.
Ciara Barten: "We weren't like a couple, I was like your mistress on the side, like slipping away from training was some big sin, do you have any idea how many hours I spent completely alone just waiting for you, wishing you'd show me just HALF the fucking attention you did the gym?"
She looks up at him and laugh slightly.
Ciara Barten: "The only time I could ever get your attention was when guys were falling over themselves to be what you couldn't, do you know what that does to a person? When the only attention they get is negative..."
She sighs again.
Ciara Barten: "I left because I loved you too much to stay... and unlike you, I hadn't dated anyone, hadn't moved on until I came back, until I saw you had I felt like it was allowed..."
He sighs and looks down with a frown.
Gavin Grimes: "So it must've killed you to see me and Ash on TV together, huh? I'm sorry... I didn't know."
She laughs and shakes her head.
Ciara Barten: "I haven't watched a thing with you in it since I left, I was in Europe... Paris, Barcelona, Rome... getting training from these tiny little gym's no one has ever heard of..."
She looks down at her hands in her lap and sighs.
Ciara Barten: "But you asking me to congratulate you on being married? When I literally became a fucking hermit over my love for you, that one stung."
She shrugs slightly and looks back up at him.
Ciara Barten: "I don't love you anymore... and I'm not avoiding you because I want you back or whatever... I just, didn't want to look you in the eyes and say, I left because you didn't love me enough."
He looks into her eyes and sighs.
Gavin Grimes: "I'm sorry I didn't give you the love you deserved and that I pushed you away with my obsession for wrestling. But I did love you... I loved you more than you could ever know.”
She shakes her head.
Ciara Barten: "It doesn't matter anymore Gav."
Lifting her cup she takes a final sip, emptying it with a frown she puts it back down.
Ciara Barten: "You're happy, you have your career and a wife who supports you, I'm glad you're happy."
She spins the empty cup on the table with a half smile.
Ciara Barten: "And I'm.... remembering what it feels like to have someone make you their world, it's nice... kinda like how you were in the beginning..."
She shrugs again and sits back with a slight yawn.
Ciara Barten: "We all just want to be needed, right?"
He smiles slightly and nods.
Gavin Grimes: "Right. I love where I am in my life now. I feel like this is where we're supposed to be. I just wish I knew why all this time instead of hiding away these feelings over all of this time, you know? But it's fine, I know now and we can both move on, yeah?"
She scoffs slightly and repeats his words back at him.
Ciara Barten: "Where we're both supposed to be."
Tapping her hands on her table she smiles and leans in a little closer.
Ciara Barten: "You might be training the wonder twin with anger face but I guaranfuckingtee you Gavin when I'm done with Saw he's gonna make alllll your little trainees look like kindergarteners."
She laughs and winks at him. He laughs and shakes his head before leaning forward.
Gavin Grimes: "Sawyer doesn’t have shit on Tinsley. She's going to be a star one day. Bet."
She rolls her eyes at him and clucks her tongue.
Ciara Barten: "No booboo, you got the good twin, everyone knows that evil always triumphs... besides, once she gets all wifey'd up, she'll wanna make home like they all do."
She pretend to gag and follows it up with a smug smirk.
Ciara Barten: "Bet you couldn't even last my circuit training these days."
He scoffs.
Gavin Grimes: "I can survive anything. Is that supposed to be a challenge?"
She folds her arms over her chest and shrugs.
Ciara Barten: "You're looking too comfortable if you ask me, missing that hunger that made you dangerous..."
He chuckles and shakes his head.
Gavin Grimes: "Please. You haven't been paying attention, clearly. I'm as dangerous and motivated as I've ever been."
She smiles and rolls her eyes.
Ciara Barten: "Yeah..? We'll see Gav..."
He smiles and nods.
Gavin Grimes: "Yeah... We will."
He stands up from the booth.
Gavin Grimes: "I guess I'll see you around then, yeah?”
She arches her brows at him and smirks.
Ciara Barten: "Chickening out already? Thought you wanted to see my ass around Nightfall and prove you can last my circuits? How's a good a time as any."
He laughs and shrugs.
Gavin Grimes: "I'd love to but I need to get home to Ash. I told her I wouldn't be long."
She laughs and rolls her eyes.
Ciara Barten: "Run on home then, some of us still put in the work every day."
He laughs and waves her off.
Gavin Grimes: "I put in the work. But I also need to put in the work at home too. I can handle all of it. I'll see you around."
He turns smiles and waves before turning and walking out of the diner, leaving Ciara to herself and her coffee.

((Mason Moron))
((May 20th, 2017))
((Las Vegas, NV))
The scene opens with Gavin Grimes sitting down on his couch watching tape on Mason Moore. He rolls his eyes as he watches the video before grabbing the remote control and hitting pause. He glances over at the camera and forces a smile.
Gavin Grimes: "So, Mason Moore, or is it MORON? Whatever it is, the big tard went on and on about how I don’t take him seriously. Yes, just because I think I’m better than you and that you’re a big, roided out fucktard, means that I don’t take you seriously. DERP! Sarcasm! Of course I take you serious. But guess what? I still know I’m going to win. You want to know why? Because you’re Mason Moore and I’m Gavin Grimes. It would take a fucking miracle for you to get a victory over me. But oh yeah, you’ve been in the gym and pumping that iron, getting ready for me, huh?”
Gavin scoffs and rolls his eyes.
Gavin Grimes: "Really? That’s getting ready for me? That’s funny. You see, you might be a giant but what I lack in size, I make up for in speed and athleticism. You’re going to end up getting winded in that ring and I’m going to be running circles around your big goofy ass. You know what the problem with you is, Mason? You went on and on about how you hit the gym six days a week, sometimes two to three times a day. You know what that means? It means you can’t wrestle for shit. You talk about pumping iron all day? Bitch, I train to be a WRESTLER all day. Not just that, people have me TRAINING them. Why? Because I’m well respected. Now you’re saying you don’t see what everyone else sees in me.”
“So tell me, are you not taking me seriously now? Because that’s what it sounds like it is. But you know what? I’m going to show everyone just how pathetic you are. I’m going to show everyone that you can’t hang with me. I’m going to show everyone that just like in NGW, I’m the best fucking competitor there is in Redemption Wrestling. And when I’m done with you? I’m going to go to WrestleForce and end Avery Miles. Simply as that.”
He nods before looking back at his TV and hitting play, watching the Mason highlights back over as the scene fades out.
